GOOD CLOTHES -- BAD BUSINESS! And I see I'm not the only one! Tried to return a piece that was defective for which my wife had paid full price using a JJill credit card. They would only refund the rock-bottom sale price, about half what was paid. This might be defensible if it were charged on another card, but don't tell me the company doesn't have a full and accessible record of what was actually paid on its own card. We were so mad, I took out my pocket knife and cut up the JJill card right at the register.

I love this company and their products! I have never had a bad experience. I get that returning something over the holidays can be a hassle. If it were me, I would have waited if it was REALLY so stressful! The time it took to look up some federal statute was likely equivalent to the time it would have taken to just stop by a local post office. I know that when working with anyone, a little consideration and respect goes a long way! For me, I get the results I am after.

I am a long-time customer of JJill but, my latest transaction will be my last. Placed an order (two shirts) on the phone with this store and was charged for them accordingly. Received duplicate of one item and not the other. After run-around on the phone, was told they would ship the item that I never received. However, shortly thereafter, I received an e-mail indicating that they would be billing me again for that shirt. Had to call again to ask that they not bill me twice. Further, I was told that I must return the item that they sent in error with US mail. This shirt does not fit in my mailbox so the letter carrier is not required to pick it up at my home which forces me to go to post office during the holidays. I checked with the FTC- under law I can request that they pick up the item. I have done so twice and was told that they have no system to do that and it must be mailed. Viewers- please note the date of this complaint. Would you go to the post office two weeks before Christmas to return un-ordered merchandise? Seems very unreasonable of JJill. Buyer beware of JJill.

the store location salespeople have been okay a bit snarky but the company doesn't stand behind their clothing. i am off jjill now that i have had one encounter where they would not stand behind their defective products. i love the pure jill kimono sweaters. like going to work in your pj’s, but looks better. i have a few of them and they wore great. my newest one is defective, a knit seam on the outside is running and i wanted a replacement. they said no way, long story, for a variety of reasons. even if i drove (i buy online) to the nearest store 45 minutes away and they agreed it was a defective sweater, the best they could do is give me about $20 back as it is now on sale — not replace it! no more jjill for me. boo-hoo– i have lived in them. but i don’t have $80 to spend on a cotton sweater that is going to be bad!
