I came in yesterday (Nov 14, 2017) around midday looking for acrylic yarn. My exact question was "Hi, I'm looking for cheap yarn" and another patron commented "well you won't find that here..." which I thought was extremely rude of her to say. I believe that patrons who display this type of attitude reflect the culture of the establishment. I elaborated & said I was looking for acrylic, the worker reiterated that acrylic isn't sold there, but pointed out some hybrids with nylon, then quickly walked away. The 2/5 stars comes from the perception that this place or its patrons may not be as welcoming to individuals who use "cheaper" materials in their needlework and fiber/textile art.

A choice selection of yarn and fabrics. Cute and welcoming space with plenty of room to browse and shop. They also have great classes and teachers. The prople who work here are super nice !

Lovely shop in central location.  Staff is friendly and helpful.  They have a nice size shop with pleasant seating area to knit and chat.  They have a very good and varied selection of yarns, accessories and books/patterns.  I really like that they carry some local yarns which are wonderful to make some very special knit caps.  I will definitely be back on my next trip to Boston!

The yarn is beautiful, but I think their selection is completely unaffordable for most people. Nothing under 10$ for a small amount of (very very nice) yarn. It works for people who take knitting very seriously and maybe sell their work, but an amateur knitter just trying to get some yarn for experimenting should go to a craft store.

The yarn here is made from really nice materials like lambs wool and alpaca. A little more expensive than your average yarn shop, but way worth the price!
