Dropped off the car on a Monday for leaking transmission fluid. Told JR where it was leaking at, said they could get to it the following Friday. That Friday I get a call from JR, said it will be done the following Monday. Monday I get a call to pick up the car, it's done. When I go to pick it up, I asked JR that when he replaced the coolant well, did he put transmission fluid back in? Nope, he didn't know how or where to check. He was going to let it go, low on transmission fluid without saying anything. Only because I asked, he fessed up. So he adds transmission fluid and checks it with the dip stick, and admits he over filled it. Puts the cap back on and shuts the hood. He had to google (right in front of me) to learn how to read the dip stick. I pay the $384 dollars and drive off to pick up my kids from school, park the car and it's still dripping (leaking) transmission fluid from the same spot. I take it back up and JR tries to tell me it's "residual" and that it's not actually leaking. I tell him if I have problems with it I'm bringing it back up to deal with Jim directly. I bring the car home, wash every thing off with brake cleaner and then water from the garden hose. Let it dry off and moved it to a dry spot in the driveway, put a white piece of cardboard under it. 2.5 hrs later, Yep, still leaking transmission fluid. UPDATE 10/18/2016: went to work the night I picked up the car, after a 12hr shift, come out and there is transmission fluid on the ground. Same spot it was leaking previously. On the way home, I went through the car wash, just to make sure it was all cleaned off and not residual. Drove home, parked it and placed a white piece of cardboard under it. Still leaking, though much slower than it was originally. So I go to get into my glove box, and the handle is busted. Glove box won't open. I call the shop, because it worked fine when I took it in. JR answered the phone. After questioning about the glove box, JR admitted he broke it and "forgot" to tell me. I'm not sure why he needed in my glove box, to fix a transmission leak. I also informed him of the continued transmission leak. JR said to bring the car back in and he'll fix the leak and glove box at no additional cost. I'll update again when I get it back. UPDATE: Got the car back. No more transmission fluid leaking. I had to wait for the parts to come in so JR could fix the glovebox he broke. It opens now, but doesn't work quite right. It catches, but at least it works now. JR apologized, but still would not take responsibility for his lack of integrity. Said he forgot to tell me about not filling the transmission fluid or breaking the glovebox because I "looked mad" already. Bullshit excuse. Jim built a business with a great reputation, JR is already ruining it. I will be taking my vehicles elsewhere from now on.
