The American Red Cross Volunteer Life Saving Corps or the ARCVLSC is a group of individuals who volunteer Sundays and holidays, provide community outreach, and travel the globe promoting drowning prevention. Joining the ARCVLSC will give you opportunities to travel, compete, get scholarships, and save other's lives. It is a 12 week class that certifies in CPR, Emergency Response, Lifesaving and First-Aid. The class will take place on Sundays and Tuesday nights and is free of charge. The class is challenging mentally and physically. The skills acquired in this course will make you water confident, make you proficient in life-saving, and will make you a better person.
To maintain a group of individuals thoroughly trained in lifesaving and first aid who are expected to respond promptly to any emergency requiring such service, regardless of time or place.
