There's no question our specialty is steak! We buy only corn fed, Nebraska raised beef. The finest beef available anywhere! We then either dry or wet age our beef, depending on the cut, for a minimum of 28 days to ensure that famous flavor and tenderness found only at JAK’s. At brunch, lunch or dinner, we offer the best quality and the best value in town!. At dinner, all entrees include salad, veggies, your choice of potato and hot sourdough bread! Jak's was recommended by my boss as an alternative to the over-priced chain steak house. The atmosphere is very welcoming and comfortable, the service was great and friendly, and the food was amazing. I had the fried brussel sprouts and the rib eye. Quite possibly the best steak I've ever had. My coworkers had the salmon and they couldn't stop talking about how amazing it was, and it looked like something off a cooking show.

A nice cozy place with great food, service and environment. Many great food choices including great steaks and burgers. The service in great and they don't take reservations, so come early and be patient.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary. We started with scallops, tasty and brussel sprouts. I don't typically eat these but...they were amazingly good. I had the filet mignon. Cooked to perfection. My wife had the same with crab and bearnaise. She received the steak but they forgot about the other two. The only reason for 4 stars. If this is your first time going here be prepared for a long wait. We went on a Saturday. Put our name on the list at 5:40 pm and had an hour and 15 minute wait. Excellent job done by all of the staff we encountered. You don't get the views you would at Daniel's but don't pay as much either. Overall I was impressed with my meal. Give them a try and judge for yourself.

I've been here once and it was a genuinely great experience. The wait was the only frustrating part, due to the lack of allowing reservations. A place of this quality should have some reservation capability. Still, a great experience with value that overrode the frustrations. An amazing steak as well with impeccable service.

The food here is great. The steaks are to die for and the staff has always been awesome. Definitely fine dining on front street.
