Our Story
Opened in 1987, Jake’s is a contemporary American restaurant featuring chef Bruce Cooper’s imaginative cuisine.
Located on Main street in historic Manayunk, Jake’s has provided warm hospitality, unparalleled professional service coupled with memorable meals. Revolving art and ironworks, featuring local artists adorn the restaurant walls. The elegant atmosphere and distinctive menu has stood the test of time for over 23 years.
The Jake's café offers an informal seating with bright views of historic Main Street. The cafe is the perfect setting for small, semi-private parties & wine tastings.
In 2008, Chef Cooper’s dream of bringing a casual, upbeat wine bar to Manayunk came to fruition. Adjacent to Jake’s, Cooper's Brick Oven Wine Bar serves brick oven, hand rolled pies with seasonal toppings from local purveyors. A huge 15-seat bar, intimate booths, French windows opening onto Main Street & an open kitchen are all some of the attractions of Cooper's Wine Bar.
Cooper's Wine Bar offers, designer pizzas, delectable small plates, and traditional favorite's from Jake's all in a spontaneous atmosphere.
