A small place to try some eel. It’s basically Korean BBQ but with eel you wrap the eel with lettuce. Takes about 20 minutes to cook and you can enjoy some side dishes, which are really good as well. You can tell the eel is fresh. Overall pretty good, but the salted one is a bit dry imho. The one with seasoning is the better choice. There are five tables in total and two in the back. Valet parking in rear or you can use the street parking.
Came in for an early dinner around 4pm on a Saturday. There's literally only 3 tables in there so we had to wait a few mins before being seated. After being seated we were given banchan and barley tea. The banchan was great, fresh, tasty, not too sweet, and seasoned well. The barley tea didn't taste fresh though. Not surprised when there's only 3 tables, they probably aren't making a new brew that often. Food took a little long to come out. We got the combo eel that serves 2 people. The eel is served on a hot plate that has a lit candle underneath to keep your food warm. It's almost too hot actually it scorched one of the eels in the center cause it kept cooking. In the middle is a large bunch of shredded ginger. The eel was awesome. Fresh, seasoned perfectly, and delicious. However I do have to say the portion is small. Probably not gonna fill up 2 adults unless you get some rice. We ordered a bowl of rice to share it costs $1 which I find to be pretty lame. The rice also didn't seem as fresh, I bet because people aren't buying it that often so it's the same batch that sits all day. Your meal also get served with some light doenjang jjiggae or maybe miso?. It compliments the eel very well and tastes great.
This place is an authentic mom-and-pop shop servicing dishes all about eel. The grill eel combo is a must try. It was my first time to try fresh water eel and sea eel and they tasted so differently! The menu is small but everything we ordered is quite tasty. They only have three tables indoor so definitely come early or order takeout. Parking is very easy to find nearby.
So delicious Eel place. It’s authentic Korean Style. They only focus on EEL. I had salted and Grill, Seasoned thing. Both were so nice. They have a limited dinning place, but you can take out it. I will add my favorite place.
We had "fresh water eel salted and fresh water eel seasoning" and loved them. We were in town for a few days and tried 3 Korean restaurants, and this was our favorite one. The salted fresh water eel was amazing, melting in our mouth. Please keep in mind that there are only 3-4 dine-in tables, so if possible, I would recommend that you go with the takeout option in case it gets busy. Vegetarian options: The vegetable kimbap was very delicious. If you're raving about Trader Joe's kimbap, you should try it because it will be far better than the ones from Trader Joe's Kid-friendliness: The owner was very considerate, giving lukewarm soup and water for my little kids and kid-friendly utensils
The dishes are quite special and fresh, but the flavors vary and I like the original fried one rather than others. It’s a pretty homemade style restaurant and 3 tables only.
Very cute joint you can get fresh eel dishes. They bring fresh and live eel to cook it few different ways you can choose with your preference. I tried pretty much everything and the eels were from Delaware, grilled with sauce is my so far favorite and will be back this week with my non korean friend. If you expect to have Unagi, remember this joint offers Korean style eel dishes which is regular grill or with sauce and marinatedcooked with another type of eel. This place is operated by a nice old couple without a help and has only few tables, so be patients and enjoy!
Had a late lunch with a local friend. We shared Fresh water eel with seasoning and it was so fluffy and flavorful! A little expensive but definitely a memorable taste that’s hard to find elsewhere!Food: 5/5
The food was good, but so spicy. Hurt my stomach after food.and only three tables. No waitresses or service from owner. I paid $130 for lunch I didn’t feel like it’s worth it. But should I leave tips still?Food: 5/5
I used this place a lot, and the food is still good, but the portion of eel is way too less than before. And the quality of eel is definitely different than the other day.Food: 4/5
