Story

The difference between a Jarrod Smart home and any other can be stated in one word: Craftsmanship. That’s why, for instance, we don’t contract out the most important work, such as framing and finish carpentry, roofing, siding and window and door installation. Doing the work ourselves assures seamless transitions from one phase to the next, and ensures us complete mastery of the construction process.
We design and build from and for your ideas. That is why we take the time to understand your thoughts fully. We take the time to sit down with you and learn what you want. We work with you, not just for you, to design the perfect space. We’ll discuss the pros and cons of different options so you can make informed decisions. You’ll receive a selection guide to easily choose amenities that suit your style. You’ll also receive a schedule guideline so you’ll know your project status, and when work to be complete.
Our company began with remodeling projects, undertaken while Jarrod was studying engineering and business in college. One of only a few Certified Graduate Builders and Certified Aging in Place Specialists in South Dakota, Jarrod has earned a reputation as one of Sioux Falls premier craftsmen.
Our philosophy is we believe quality is created by properly trained, skilled craftsmen who take pride in their work. Since we build only a select number of projects, we can do much of the work in-house without delegating to others and guarantee quality.
