Went in to see if my son's cheap bike needed to be serviced or if I should buy a better bike.  They could have easily talked me into buying a bike.  Instead, the staff were very honest and told me to use the bike for another year before purchasing a better bike and even spent a few minutes servicing his current bike.

Bought my bike here 7 years ago and I have kept in great shape.  Took it in for a tuneup because shifting was sluggish.  They quoted me $200 for cable replacement, brake pads and tuneup.  I paid around $700 for the bike so ~1/3 the cost sounded high to me.  The guy said people do it every 6 months and it was normal.  I don't think so.  Went to another shop in Brea and they changed the lagging cable and housing and adjusted brakes and derailleurs all for $24.69 (In about 2 hours).  It was a good lesson for my son about getting a second opinion.  BTW - the bike is still riding and shifting fantastic!

I purchased a bike several years ago from Jax and am just getting into cycling again. Whenever I go in for help or parts employees always seem knowledgeable and helpful. Also they seemed genuinely interest in helping me restore my bike. No its not the cheapest store and doesn't have the widest selection but it's nearby and they get the job done.

Negative/Zero Star Rating. We Have A Lot Of Growing and Developing To Do. Will We Change? I Personally Care Not To Experience Another Moment In The Presence Of Horrible and Terrible Oversight and Mismanagement of Clients Money and Goods With The Lack of Understanding and Fiduciary Responsibility As A Fellow Inhabitant On Earth. Let's Grow Up People And Look Within. You Can Keep The Money and Goods And Here Is Our Karma. Since You Don't Empower Your Employees And You Hide Behind A Phone Hopefully You'll Hear This Loud And Clear Lower Management. Maybe This Message Will Help You Grow In A More Positive Direction! You Know What You Did, And I Hope You Learn From This, I Know I Did. 

P.S. To The People - If you don't like gambling then this is NOT your bike spot. I usually never write negative reviews but I was compelled after several episodes of neglect in all aspects. I couldn't help myself. I personally warn you not to step in these stores managed by this underdeveloped entity that they call jax bicycle center. Feel free to reach out to me if you want the details. I am not hard to find on the Internet.
