Went just before closing on a Sunday. It was nice and clean. Not alot of people but I figure was because of closing time. Could have been more clear where the check outs were.

Extremely rough experience. Luckily I didn't need any assistance outside of paying for my items but I'm not sure I could have found an employee if I needed to ask a question or check on a product size. The cash register experience was painful, as the associate was mostly worried about signing me up for a credit card or rewards. I was over-charged, but just wanted to leave so badly that I didn't even bring it up. I now understand why this company seems to be going out of business.

I work at a different jcp and wanted to visit other stores just to see if there's anything different or could help my store. The ridgedale jcp is a lot smaller than my store. The junior and misses sections were small and didnt flow well. I had a hard time finding where things were. However when checking I was helped and treated like a customer and associate. The ladies working had great customer service, were friendly, and chatted about jcp related thibgs. When my discoubt card wouldn't read she used my ID to get it. It was refreshing to check out and feel like a valued customer. My store treats us like an inconvineice and puts strict guidelines and rules on an associate shopping as a customer.
