I visited the courthouse on 2/14/18 to obtain my marriage license and had an awful experience with Ms. Arletha Glover. 
When my spouse and I approached her window she was on the phone. She did not end the call, she continued to hold the phone to her ear. She asked us what did we need, I responded "we are here to get our marriage license" her response, "when is the wedding date" i let her know that our wedding day is in May. She proceeds to tell me that we cannot obtain a marriage license until May, and since our wedding ceremony would be performed out of the country that we need to obtain a wedding license in the country that we will be having the ceremony. Which is not true at all, especially since my resort requires my license from USA to perform the ceremony. 
I asked for the manager, because she was very rude and refused to do her job and assist us. After I asked for the manager she provided me with the correct instructions on how to obtain the marriage license. By this time she had ruined a special moment for my spouse and I, by her rudeness. 
Ms. Glover obviously does not enjoy her job. She refused to assist us for no apparent reason. States her manager is Stephanie Scroggins, and that she was on lunch at 2pm. I attempted to contact the office via phone and was unsuccessful. Ms. Glover never apologized for her behavior. She never congratulated us on our new journey. I have worked in customer service for several years so I understand how people should be treated. Ms. Glover either needs additional training or she needs a new job.

The staff was very friendly and helpful ( they’re under stress, so if you are polite to them, they will be very helpful to you) 👍🏻

The key to not waiting hours in line is to go on a Friday afternoon (around 2 PM) in the middle of the month. When I've gone at the time, I'm in and out in under 30 minutes! I've been several times at this time, no wait! Employees seem friendlier later in the day too when it isn't as crowded.
