Impossible to reach an actual person on the phone, only automated voicemail messages. Which by the way, wont allow you to leave a message, it will only hang up on you. No replies to the multiple emails I sent. Absolutely the worst courthouse I've ever had to deal with.

This is one of the worst court systems ever. We have been dealing with a case that has carried on for more than 4 years. The judge we had didn't want to see any proof and through out all the years we've been going through this, we have only see the judge twice. It seems like none of these people went to college for this stuff because they seem like they just sit back on their thumbs

Awful. They court system in Shelby county is one big money scheme. They don't care about helping you and almost impossible to get someone on the phone. When you do finally, more than likely they can't help worth a crap with your inquiry

Someone really needs to stress to the staff the importance of their jobs. The court referral program, the clerks, the officers, the entire program is dealing with peoples' livelihoods, and the sheer lack of communication, terrible treatment, multiple errors due to being grossly unorganized is completely unacceptable. We are all just trying to make the best of the situation, and when people are being treated like dirt, or having unnecessary setbacks due to the thrown together structure or just plain laziness of the staff it makes an already extremely difficult task, next to impossible. Everyone going through this is doing their best and I just wish that I didn't have to make multiple trips, or get talked down to every single time I interact with anyone that is involved in the Shelby County Court System. Please just allow us to do what we need and have to do without this unescessary punishment, and look into why this is happening! Please! If we all just had a common focus and implemented basic strategies like a public calendar for classes and the required schools to show when they're offered, how to reach these facilities, clear instructions in writing for each step of every program so things aren't miscommunicated, creating treatment plans and goals with the staff and officers so that everyone is on the same page and there aren't "surprises." A little bit of effort would really help this program. The intention from the beginning was to discourage repeat offenders, it get it, but at what cost? We all still deserve respect and decency. This "it isn't my job" mentality isn't helping anyone. Please help us so we can do what we are supposed to do and the programs can be successful.
