I self-installed a new water heater over the weekend only to end up with low hot water pressure.  The issue turned out to be over soldering when installing the union on the cold water inlet--solder had dropped down the pipe and solidified in the nipple causing a obstruction.  He identified the location of the issue immediately, by turning off and on the cold water valve and noticing no change in sound, i.e. no change in water pressure.  He said with new water heater installs he usually recommends replacing the valve as well, which we had not done.  After taking the cold water inlet apart the source of the pressure issue was identified.  He replaced the nipple, installed a new valve, and the replaced the pipe between the two.  It took about 40 minutes.

Jerry's ran a new gas line for me for our kitchen remodel.  They did a great job.  Showed up on time, were very friendly and polite, made fast work of it, passed the city inspection, and came in within $4.00 of the estimate that they gave me over the phone which was based on my explanation of the work alone. They were also $150 cheaper than another plumber that gave me an estimate with the same information.  I will use them again.
