I needed a quick quality lunch and tried this restaurant for the 1st time. I had a Beef and Lamb Gyros Sandwich and tried their Baklava. The sandwich was more of a wrap, and was SO SO good!!! Great quality food for the low price. The Baklava was divine, didn’t even get a pic. My only complaint is that this place has a tiny dining area. But then again, it is kinda part of its charm. I’ll definitely be coming back when I’m near the DU area again!!!
Our family loves Jerusalem Restaurant. We just wish we lived closer, so we could go more often. It's our Christmas Eve tradition to go there. The food is so fresh and delicious. I always order the the Vegetarian Platter. I mix all the ingredients except the falafel, grape leaves, and French fries, of course into a pita, and top it off with the wonderful cucumber salad cucumber/yogurt dressing. I call it a party in my mouth, with so many incredible flavors that blend perfectly. My husband orders the Beef and Lamb Gyros, and my son the Combination Super Dish.
I’ve been eating here since I first moved to Denver back in 2019. My husband and I always order from here. Amazing food and great prices. So much flavor. Plus open later than most establishments in Denver! It’s so good even my cat can’t get her paws off the food
We went for lunch on Sunday, the place was crowded, but we managed to get an outdoor seating. Had seen so many great reviews, and the crowds at the restaurant, we were hoping for an exceptional meal. Ordered falafel sandwich $6.75 and vegetarian platter$13+. The sandwich was dry and the pita bread was falling apart as you took a bite. I couldn’t finish. The platter was still ok. falafel n hummus in the platter was good. Again the pita served with platter was dry and felt more like pita cracker than pita bread. It was quite disappointing and will not be going again.
Times have changed but the food hasn't! When you get craving for falafel only one place to go. Walked in, sat down, and admired the remodel been a while since our last visit. The food is still amazing. We were all ready discussing how quickly we needed to come back! No matter if your gluten free, vegetarian, vegan, or a meat eater. You will find a delicious meal. Pro tip - order more togo for later!
Been craving some falafels and was in the area. Definitely has a college feel to it, which makes sense given its location. Food came out fast, the falafel sandwich was good for the price. A good amount of seating. Bathrooms were kind of gross but again, college vibes. Go in with the right mindset and it’s a solid choice.
This place is awesome! The food is delicious, affordable, and very fresh. Plus the portions are generous and the service is wonderful. My boyfriend and I both ordered a combination plate, which allows you try a bit of everything. I was able to replace my rice with extra salad since I’m on a low-carb diet. Everything was delicious, including the grape leaves which is something I don’t typically love. We were both so full we had to take some home. The desserts were also awesome not pictured because we ate them too fast, but they’re displayed in the front — and they have a big variety. I had the kullage and loveeeddd it! It’s a syrupy filo dough pastry with a bit of custard inside. The service was also on point. An older gentleman who I assume is the manager greeted us and other customers, and gave us recommendations. Our waiter was very attentive. This place has been around since 1978 and it’s easy to see why. We even heard two different customers say they had been eating here for 20 to 30 years! I can’t wait to return.
Went here on a weekday date with my husband on a whim. We love Mediterranean food and this place had great reviews, rightfully so! It was packed when we got there, people constantly coming in to pick up orders or sit down to eat. We found a spot in their cute outdoor area. We ordered the babghaosh dip, the tabouleh salad and for entrees we both did gyro sandwichesmine chicken and my husband did lamb. The food was great, really good pita and totally understand why it’s so popular, everything tasted fresh and authentic. I would’ve taken a picture of our orders but this shows how much we actually enjoyed the meal!
The food here is pretty good and they are fast at making it. The restaurant seating area is too small for a large groups to sit down so its more of a to go spot. They have a lot of baked goods but it would be nice if the clerks knew what they have in stock before taking orders for items they dont have. Otherwise nice spot.
Everything was almost perfect. They need a real server there and not just some kids that have no idea how to serve. The lamb meat was a little over cooked and dry.
