My experience here was horrible. I'm a Sickle Cell patient and I went there because I was having pain, they made it seem as if I was only there for drugs one of the lead nurses on the orthopedic floor even stated that I was trying to keep their needle to take it home and shoot up. I would not recommend anyone go here, one of the nurses in the ER also stated they had 3 people die in the waiting area due to lack of treatment in a timely manner

I had a bad experience with one staff member, went to the front to make a complaint and the person who was supposed to be taking the complaint then began to argue with me that "They know that staff member, & that I was LYING" SMH you can't make a complaint to a person who's friends with the one you complain about! I HAVE STILL NOT HEARD BACK FROM LAURA HUMPHREYS THE ETHICS & compliance OFFICER.... I've called multiple times & left multiple messages

I found that most of the staff we're completely un professional. It took them 6 out of the 7 hours my mother was in agony to effectively treat her pain and for the most part acted like they were being put upon to do anything to help. I overheard one of them state what is she whining about now! I went to them 4 times in 7 hours and they consider that whining. Ps in the entire time the only had maybe 12 people come through their unit. There was an exception the nurse who was treating my mom and the woman next to her went out of her way to help but was hampered by the incompetence of the others. ( what kind of staff would continue to talk to someone they knew was deaf and could not lip read? The nurse who was helping my mom was the only one who had the sense to write her questions to the unfortunate woman. How do I know the doctor in charge has a luxury boat? Because sitting at least 20 feet away I could hear him bragging about it while he was hanging out in the nurses station while I waited for them to do something to stop the pain my mom was in. They either don't know or don't care that that hospitals are designed so that the staff at the nurses station can hear everything that's going on in the entire unit and that works both ways , so for 7 hours with them knowing I was there I was hearing everything they were saying. They only started moving with intent when they realized I heard the What's she whineing about know comment. If I was hit by a car on their front steps I would demand to be taken to another hospital. Later that evening after she was admitted it took 4 times to get to the nurses station. The fist time I got the room number wrong that was on me. The next time the phone just kept ringing the time after that someone just took the phone off the hook and left it. I could hear people having a conversation as I repeatedly said hello. The 4 th time I was able to get through and got the nurse that was taking care of my mom she was very helpful and very nice. I complement her and the nurse in the ER. But for the rest of the place the only reason I gave the place a 1 star rating was to be able to put this on their space. I am 67 years old my mother is 86 years old. I can't beleave how they acted and not to just her the deaf lady was in her 80s also. I am also going to send a copy of this to my lawyer to keep on file. I am not a latigus person but if anything else happens I may change my mind. That is my opinion on this hospital

So I just visited this hospital. I only liked this hospital when it was called Columbia. Doctors and Nurses cared then. But now I understand that a lot of Doctors won't agree with certain things, but for a 8 year old Doctor to tell me I need a new OB is sad. He kept telling me over and over I need to find a new one and discharged me with some of the most unprofessional OBs every (I did my research). For a minute he had me question my OB, but of course his sidekick nurse was in on it, trying to make a joke about my doctor note I keep with me(from my OB)😒. I swear the whole experience was crazy, but I did learn one thing. Never to go back again. And to think this man had knowledge of what he was talking about, he literally just a triage Doctor, just jumping of the steps and have maybe little to no knowledge about my situation since he felt so offensive about it. But all he had to do is research and read up on it. I thought that's how you learn in the first place🤔. Oh well people if you must go, please avoid. He will have you with more issue then you came with(left with a migraine). But glad my little one ok. Ultrasound Tech was nice, and my other nurse.

Their mental health facility is a snake pit. It's a crime that they still treat the mentally ill like garbage. They put me in the geriatric ward because their beds were full. Let me tell you they let the patient scream all night in agony. When I complained about it they said "do you know where you are?" Like I was stupid and of course I said yes I know where I am. And they said "well what did you expect?" We weren't allowed make up and I have a large birthmark on my face. I cannot tell you how many rude staff members there asked me what the hell was wrong with my face! They're supposed to be medical professionals and they've never seen a birthmark before? One lady kept screaming all night for Depends and finally she soiled herself--she stunk up the whole ward and they just let her sit there. I started screaming at them are you going to let her sit there in that all night? Yes they were going to. The doctor was an absolute quack. He kept asking me why my hair was messed up. (Gee could it be because I was in the mental ward?) I told my friend to bring me a scrunchie and once I put my hair in a ponytail they let me out. They said "oh obviously are taking better care of yourself now." What a bunch of morons! They did not give me the correct meds the whole time I was there I was so messed up and I went there hoping to get my meds settled--ha what an idiot I was. Not the place to go if you want to get well.
