We ordered a 30-piece catering box with a variety of sandwiches. Order was correct, delivered early, and everything was delicious. I really appreciated the customer service--a call to confirm the online order, and a follow-up call to make sure everything was great. Would definitely recommend for catering!

First off, I leave a review maybe once a year or two. But my lord, was this the WORST food experience I’ve maybe ever had. When I entered there were two teenage girls behind the counter that didn’t acknowledge me and one women in front of me in line. I saw they were working on sandwiches and assumed nothing.  8 minutes goes by and no one has made eye contact from the back. I asked the women in front of me if they had helped her, she said, “they haven’t even looked at me.”  The workers look depressed, unhappy and uneasy. They would not look up from sandwich making. Finally I walked down to the pick up counter and asked if someone could help me order and the girl quickly screamed “we are fulfilling an order sir! I told you that!” But she never did... she never even looked up at any of us in line!  I assume it was a phone order based on the other reviews I just read, but none of the 3 workers would speak to us or look at us. I honestly wouldn’t have batted an eye except for the obvious sadness of both girls. That’s when quickly an older gentlemen came in and went behind the counter. I assumed he would help…  He took off his jacket in a rush when he heard the bread oven go off. He didn’t say a thing to the now 6 of us waiting in line. And that’s when the women in front of me asked the short dark haired worker who had her earbud in the entire time, how they could ignore us standing there in person and the girl replied, “sorry not sorry mam. You can’t get mad at me for doing my job. Im making sandwiches.”  It was quite the experience for a Sunday around 11:30am. I can’t but feel the manager and owner won’t care about this review at all. But I hope someone considering applying here someone might reads this.  I know it’s a bad analogy, but I can’t help but feel like the workers all looked like battered shelter dogs while they worked. I can’t imagine this place is even remotely well run and I wouldn’t recommend anyone try to get a sandwich here. There are other JJ’s within 5 minutes in both directions. GO THERE

Very bad service. Placed an order at 12:22pm online did not get delivered until 2:15pm way after my lunch hour. Never received a call they were behind like they usually do. I even called over 10 times no answer nor could I leave a message. Will never return until they have new management and can actually communicate.

The delivery at this jimmy johns sucks. Placed my order at 2:16pm it was out for delivery at 2:34 pm and it’s 3:16 pm and still not here. I only live 10 mins away. Lady on the phone was rude and couldn’t even attempt to check on where my order was - she could have called the driver.  Update- 3:34pm: they stated the delivery driver rang my door bell and left it at my door. I’ve been home this whole time and even went outside a couple times to see if they’re here and nothing. I just asked for a refund and they are going to credit my account since it was an online order.

The last 3 deliveries I’ve had have been awful. I tip over 25% and I get my food delivered so that when i open the door it knocks my drink over every single time. OR it gets delivered and they never text you so it sits in the rain on the porch. I’ve been a regular customer for years and now I’ll never order from here again.

The owner took my order, I kept repeating cause he acted like he wasn’t listening.  COMPLETELY WRONG ORDER- $48 bucks down the drain.  I ask for no cheese 3 times sandwiches have extra cheese and I get billed for it.  I think he’s just greedy and it was all intentional.  Will NEVER come back and I’m making neighbors in the adjacent apartment building aware.

This Jimmy Johns location has awful service. It took over 1.5 hours for them to deliver my order.  Definitely not freaky fast.

They were rude & not helpful at all.  It seemed that my order was an inconvenience.  I certainly won't be suggesting the downtown Elgin location to anyone.

I've ordered at different Jimmy John's location before so I know what I am talking about when I say this, I ordered avocado for an additional $1.00 when I got my sandwich they barley put any on there almost as if they forgot or wiped it off. I called to complain, they were nice enough to replace it but it still had nothing in it. There was more vinegar and O'Regan than avocado.

If you plan to schedule an advance order, don't.  We ordered to have a delivery at 7pm, and it went out for delivery at 6:20pm. It doesn't make sense it went out that early as we are only a few blocks away.  Our door is clearly marked "#2" yet they delivered to a side door with no markings it's the basement door with absolutely nothing to protect from the rain  After calling to ask when delivery would occur, and 2 phone calls... We found out it was already delivered, and soaking wet because it wasn't left at our door which is proteced from the rain, as it's a porch Again, the door is clearly marked #2 on the door.  Unable to eat soaked sandwices, we had to toss them in the trash.  If a driver has any doubt, please call the customer. Let this be a learning experience. We wasted almost $35 and are only able to eat the sealed cookies.  This will be the first and last order. Merely "I'm sorry" is not enough.
