Quality products at a great price. However, this layout of this store is horrid. Nothing is where it makes sense to be. Once you learn the location of the products it isn't so bad but it's going to take some work to get to that point. I've always found fresh produce and meat. Another downside is that they do not accept credit cards and only accept cash through a machine. I have had this machine eat my money, but a manager was quick to disassemble the machine and recover the lost funds.

Five stars for "value" at Joe V's. The produce and most meat prices can't be beaten in price, not even by Walmart.  I usually make the 20 minute drive to stock up on items used most in our kitchen, and the drive is worth the savings several times over.  
Joe V's is an H.E.B. owned store and takes in overstock and items that may be expiring in 3 to 6 months, but with a large family, home stock rotates quickly. One will find H.E.B branded items amongst other name brands. Everyone I send there cannot believe the low prices and becomes a regular customer.

I really enjoy the pricing. The selection on produce is mass and a great price. This store gets HEB overstocked items but sells for less than HEB. Quality food and in store sales not advertised. Things you should know before you visit the store: grab your own cart from outside- there are none inside. Be prepared to bag your own groceries; bags are free. No credit cards accepted; cash, debit and snap are accepted. I dont know about WIC.

Can never read the prices on the receipts .. print out has been messed up for many months!  ... a yr later, another machine is dropping a half a digit on the print out.

The prices are good enough to at least do half my shopping here.  I save at least 30 percent on what I do buy here.  Not most the meat though, its high and the cuts are rather weird on the beef.  Most the fruit and veggies are great, just keep an eye out.  Bananas are bruised a lot and when they are green you can see the bruises.

Great store would have had five stars but manager was in the restroom with me and he did not wash his hands.
