Very interesting place to visit if you like history and pioneer life. Finding a time when the buildings were open was a bit tricky. At the time of year we went they were open Sunday-Thursday between 11am and 4pm. We were offered a full guided tour for a very reasonable price, but you can explore it on your own as well. I would recommend the your though as she was very knowledgable.

Went for explore the shore and it was awesome. Staff was fantastic with my kids. Teaching them how to walk on stilts and play classic games. Watched a blacksmith work with an apprentice. Explored the house. Great historic site.
