Moving to Florida! We joked we would use Johnson due to the family name and the fact that we had driven by them for years. They came to our house for the quote on Friday the 4th, as the man was leaving he said he would have it to me by the following day. He was nice, professional and easy going. The process went smoothly.
Alas, we had two quotes the day before and earlier that morning. Both got us quotes within 12 hours. Wednesday the 9th rolled around and we had to pass on them for one of the other two companies. We had even called the card that was left with us to see if he had taken down the e-mail wrong but I was never called back.
The rating would probably be accurate with 1.5 stars because they were nice and professional while at our house.

Fantastic experience with the logistics coordination with an outstandingly sweet, helpful, professional and prompt woman in the home office. Good experience overall with the move, especially that movers actually arrived at new home on day they said they would and was within a very reasonable window. Would have liked better communication with driver on loading day but, overall, given everything that can go wrong with moves we were very pleased!

Good coordination of a complex multicity move. Everything arrived on schedule and with minimal damage. Efficient and smart crews to handle unloading too.

[Timing consuming and dishonest]
When I called to get a quote over the phone, the customer service rep would not tell me the hourly rate. He insisted that we have someone come out to do an in home estimate. When I expressed that I didn’t want to spend the time doing an in home estimate, he reassured me that the estimate was binding and the move would not exceed the binding estimate once I signed it. Upon that information I scheduled an in home estimate.
The man that did the estimate was in our house for over an hour (we had a small, two bedroom home). It took him three days to get back to us with a final price. He said in person that the hourly rate was $100 per hour, however the estimate listed a cost of $173 per hour.
After communicating with him that we had lower estimates, he agreed to match our lowest estimate from another company. We had this exchange via email where he agreed to match the other company and make it a binding estimate.
Upon being connected with the move coordinator I was asked to verify that I agree to the estimate twice. The second time the estimate had been changed from 3 people to 2 people but kept the same hourly rate. When I communicated with her about the binding estimate I was promised, she said that could no longer be honored.
All in all the experience was very time consuming and the company was very dishonest.

We would like to thank and acknowledge Kyle Vorheier and his United Van Lines team for the excellent work in moving Trudy Lamberti's belongings from Fort Collins, Colorado to Cypress, California. We met Kyle and his crew on Sunday, 1/3/16 to unload Trudy's furniture, boxes, etc. at her Cypress residence. Everything was packed extremely well, with caution and diligence for all property taken during the entire move. Kyle was a true professional during the entire process, keeping us both informed of what was occurring during all phases of the unloading/unpacking process. Kyle and his crew did an excellent job with all parts of the move, and his efforts were well appreciated. We would without any doubt utilize Kyle and United Van Lines for any future moves if necessary. Please thank him again for all of his efforts and hard work.
