The Burlington Museums Foundation is a registered charitable foundation that helps raise friends and funds to support Burlington’s two museums, Joseph Brant Museum and Ireland House at Oakridge Farm.

Story

Please help us achieve our dream of adding 14,000 square feet to Burlington’s Joseph Brant Museum. This overdue expansion has been in the planning stages for more than two decades and is becoming a reality but will cost $10.4 million. Your support would be appreciated.

Your contribution will stimulate minds, preserve our heritage and attract tourism to boost our local economy. It will include four halls to showcase special blockbuster exhibits from around the globe, two multi-purpose rooms, a lobby, shop, resource centre and storage for more than 25,000 historical treasures.

The Burlington Museum Foundation is a registered charity, made of volunteers that raise funds to support the Joseph Brant Museum. Its mission is to inspire an appreciation of Burlington’s past and its relevance to our present and future. It will do this through innovative sharing, and collecting of Burlington’s heritage and providing lifelong learning experiences.

In partnership with the Burlington Performing Arts Centre, the Art Gallery of Burlington and Discovery Landing, the new Joseph Brant Museum will also enhance Burlington’s waterfront as a destination for local families and tourists.

Our historical partners include the Burlington Foundation, Museums of Burlington, Burlington Historical Society, Tourism Burlington and Heritage Burlington.
