Josh and his team recently completed an addition to our home in the Saugatuck/Douglas area.  The project presented several architectural, engineering and design elements that required expertise and attention to detail.  We hoped to live in the house during construction, and they made it possible.  During every phase of construction the site was clean and orderly.  The bidding process was detailed and clear, with no surprises at the end, and the work completed ahead of schedule.  In working with Josh and his team you realize they are not just about building a house, they create a home.

Nelson Builders remodeled our kitchen and dining room.  When we presented our ideas to Josh Nelson, he immediately got excited and designed a beautiful large space for our big family.  The remodel included removing the wall between the kitchen and dining room, as well as raising the kitchen ceiling to match the cathedral ceiling in the dining room.  Another unique part of the remodel was restoring the existing kitchen cabinets.  Josh was able to “harvest” cabinet doors from the wall that was removed and then build cabinets for the new refrigerator and double oven to match the existing cabinets.  
Josh was very easy to work with and very professional throughout the four months of the remodel.  He respected our ideas and our budget.  He gave us several ideas to enhance our project and paid attention to every detail to make sure all was done correctly.  His work crew showed up every day to keep the project on schedule.  While working on the kitchen, Josh also tiled a large shower and floor of our master bath room.  We receive many compliments on everything Josh did.
We highly recommend Nelson Builders for any remodeling or building project!  We are extremely happy with how our large kitchen and dining room turned out.  They are beautiful!

Working with Josh Nelson and the entire crew at Nelson Builders was a dream. Josh communicated well with us--he listened carefully to grasp our needs, kept us completely informed of the progress on the project, responded well to our concerns and adapted well to last minute changes we asked for. Add to this that his crew did a great job in all phases of the construction. We recommend him highly and without reservation..
