Only customers in the restaurant no one checked on us. They mixed up our orders. Everything was greasy. The bathrooms- gross- don’t go in there. Seriously the worst money spent Egg drop soup was not on the menu but turns out it was $4.75 while dinners were like $10.

I really love this restaurant, we always order to go so I can't speak so much to the service as far as waiting on a table. But they are always nice to me and attend to me as quick as they are able to during pickup. And the food is fantastic! Always consistent and delicious. Sometimes they mix up sizes but if anything we get extra food so.. no harm.

Looking for authentic food here is hard comparable to Chinese food in Houston. A lot of the restaurants here are more americanized however, this restaurant was not. It was more authentic and you can really taste the season and flavor in their food. Price was reasonable, I spent $28 for 3 meals and it was fresh and hot whenever I received my food and it was still hot even after 30 minutes later when I got home.

Food is good. ..I think they use msg in some dishes.. Just a feeling after eating..... ..super nice owners and food is fairly authentic Cantonese style...I like the fried rice and flavors are good. Portions are large and prices are good. Service is great and friendly. Atmosphere is strip mall level but still nice. Generals chicken and mongolian chicken or beef are stronger than the other chicken and beef dishes. 1 order is huge and has a ton of veggies..easily share a plate. Great last minute "go too" place for chinese take out...theyre pretty fast!

The wait was long. 25 mins for fried rice and wontons. Both were good tasting but not great tasting.  It appeared they needed more help in the restaurant. Just 1 person handling cash register, waiting tables, phone orders and busing tables.  Inside the restaurant was very dark and a bit out of date.

Food is improved quite a bit used to be pretty bad but now it's a decent meal every few months.  I would say now if you're looking for a quick Chinese this would be a decent place to stop by prices of reasonable feeds many.

Fried rice basically tasted like soy sauce.  Breading on chicken is bland and actual chicken was tiny chewy pieces in lots of bland breading. Lemon sauce tastes more sweet than like Lemon.  Sauce for honey walnut shrimp had very little flavor and entire dish had 2 pieces of walnuts, shrimp was decent size and breading on the shrimp was good.  For Chinese food is OK at best.  It's food... but not enjoyable really.  I forget and buy food there about once or twice a year because it's close to my work.

I am not a local here but I just randomly stumbled upon this location for some quick food and didn't think anything of it but it turned out to be me and my mom's absolute favorite! Now I'm here for my second time. I made sure to stop on my way through. Portions are huge and food isn't overy greasy. So many choices for food and something for everyone.

First time eating at Joy Garden Restaurant. The egg flower soup was very good with lots of egg in it which I really enjoyed. The sliced pork was so tender and delicious. The pork wontons were very good also. I really liked the pineapple deep fried pork as the sauce was different than I had but was really very good. All in all would definitely go back again.
