As a retired IT Professional, I have dealt with JPK Micro Supply, Inc. for over 30 of my 40 years in the business. Since their beginnings in the early 80's, I have purchased more computers and hardware from them, then I can count or even remember. In 1989, I was asked to put together a very large order of, at that time, XT 8088 computers for a company in Russia, known as NPO Mir, in Moscow. Because I had already been dealing with them, locally here in Los Angeles, and had experienced exceptional results from my customers, Micro Supply was my only supplier of choice. For me, at that time, it was a matter of trust. Because there was thousands of dollars on the line here; the thought of losing that much money and moving into a cardboard box in some weeded vacant lot didn't appeal to me. So I couldn't afford to have it screwed up. Needless to say, they came thru for me. Buy the way, I'm the guy in 1991, that brought the Russians to Los Angeles to film the movie Bukharin - Enemy of the People. It was on the return flight, to Moscow in 1991, that we shipped those computers and set them up. The movie deal was a separate thing I got involved in. Later, in 1996, I was called to trouble shoot a UNIX network system for the John Wayne Cancer Institute, in Santa Monica, Ca.. After evaluating the problem and recovering there data from a SCSI hard drive. I replaced it with a new hard drive and mother board from, you guessed it, Micro Supply. After saving and restoring their data, that contained information for a 50 million dollar grant from the National Institute of Health (NIH), I was hired by Michael Wayne the COB. , John Wayne's eldest son. He wanted me to renovate the institute servers and workstations. During my tenure, as IT Director from 1996 - 2001, I replaced all servers and workstations thru, guess again....., that's right Micro Supply. To this day, not as much as when I was active in the industry, I purchase my systems and boards from Micro Supply. My wife's computer is 10 years old now, from Micro Supply, running Windows XP and works just fine. Me, on the other hand, just upgraded 2 of my 3 system boards from them. Old geeks don't die, we just upgrade, as needed! Everything, I have written here, is completely true and verifiable. Honesty and integrity, is a very rare commodity these days, and you would serve yourself well to invest in it! I propose this question to all....... Is it wise, to listen to a person of experience? Believe it or not, I still have the same auto mechanic for 30 years. Don't really give him much business, oil change, brakes smog check, you know typical maintenance on a car with 245,000 miles on it. He must be doing something right. I feel bad at times, so I drop by, from time to time, to buy him and his crew lunch, and refer all my friends to him. Everyone of those friends are still my friends. Get the picture? The Pessimist, complains about the wind. The Optimist, expects it to change. But, the Realist, adjusts his sails! Happy Sailing RJ
