Being back in town after moving to Maine, i was excited to stop back in Just Kidding to purchace clothes and some Christmas gifts for the upcoming holidays. Its been about a year since the move, so it has been a while since i have stopped in. But no matter how long in between visits, i was always Cheerfully greeted by Lisa or her friendly staff, always reminded about the fantastic sales that no store could ever beat. Things were as neat as could be (expecially for a consignment shop!) So Friday while my boyfriend took my son out for the afternoon, I decided to venture over. Upon entering I immediately knew things were different.. There was stuff all over the floor. After stepping over a shamble of clothes and toys I began searching through the clothes racks for my sons size. I figured everyone has a day where they couldnt keep up right?? But not only was the store a mess, half of the clothes on the rack wasnt my sons size? I did find a few things that were cute and 50%off!(has been there three months if i remember right) because the pickings were slim, figuring people had beat me there and picked out all the good stuff with christmas right around the coner. Most the clothes had a few stains and smelled like they hadnt been washed properly... I realized it was the same smell upon entering the store... Just old musty consignment store.... It used to have a clean, fresh scent.. Now not so much. I decided to venture over at the toys.... And again the same dissapointment. I purchased the very few items i had found, and happened to ask where Lisa was, just baffeled by how her store looked! And i was informed the store was under new ownership! I asked who was now in charge, and the woman replied she was! Just Kidding used to have a vibrant family like feel, where you were made to almost feel at home.... Now its merely just.... A second(or third) hand store..... Unless things drastically change I dont beileve I will be in any rush to come back....

I went to Just Kidding this morning looking for an over-the-shoulder "baby carrier" to carry my 10-year-old mini pin, who is having problems with his legs. I explained to the clerk in the store what I was looking for and why I needed a pack to carry the dog. The clerk spent almost an hour letting me try on different "model" carriers until both she and I felt a carrier would work for both me and my dog. I purchased the carrier she suggested, and it works great. Just Kidding is filled to the brim with great merchandise and their prices are great, too!
