I was welcomed when I walked in the front door by a very kind and caring person. No judgement. When I first met Nonie with Just Law she put me at ease immediately. Nonie, Conor and Melissa have been very patient through my divorce, stress and anxiety. They are professional, courteous and caring. They have answered my questions when asked and supportive through rough times. If someone asked me for a great family law firm, I would definitely recommend Just Law, and Nonie of course, over anyone else. Thank you all!

Laura Hansen-Pelcastre, Conor, Liz, Melissa and the rest of the Just Law team are phenomenal. Laura is a very knowledgeable and experienced family attorney. Laura is brilliant in her work. Each person in the Just Law office is an expert in their area. Just Law turned a very daunting experience into a calm, reassuring, and comprehensible process. My favorite thing about Just Law is that they sincerely care about the children and what is best for them. I am grateful I had them on my side, especially during mediation. They were very understanding, caring, and professional. I highly recommend Just Law to anyone needing family law, especially those with their children's best interest in mind. The costs were reasonable and worth every penny. Let them help you bring peace to your mind and peace into your life and family! Just Law is truly the best.

We met with Nonie, she was very knowledgeable, we felt she really understood our point of view, and had a great plan of action to help us. Her team and staff were also very thorough and friendly. Ours is a somewhat never-ending battle, so I'm guessing we'll be seeing plenty more of Nonie and the whole Just Law team in the future.

BAIT AND SWITCH FLAT FEE SCAM! 6 Reasons Why This Utah Law Firm Is A Creepy Haven For Greedy Con Artists Posing As Licensed Attorneys. 1. I felt compelled to seek a competent family law attorney to summarize and file the events of a previous hearing as well as to present sensitive evidence and pursue the related subsequent counterclaims on my behalf. In the initial consultation with Spencer Ricks of Just Law located in Holladay, Utah he requested a $2,500 retainer. In exchange for the $2,500 retainer he claimed his services would include an audio review of the previous hearing, the needed summary and counterclaim relating to that hearing, any related court appearances and 4 hours of mediation to establish the custody agreement. Although my past experience with family law attorney’s resulted in a mediation over several hours and at a cost of near $1,000, Spencer Ricks stated that in his experience, 4 hours was more than enough time for mediation to get the expected custody agreement in place. I paid the flat fee and signed the contract. Spencer Ricks told me Just Law is a “paperless” office and a copy of the contract would be emailed to me. It never was. The receipt for the $2,500 retainer was never emailed either. 2. After 6 weeks Spencer Ricks hadn’t sent a single statement outlining how the retainer had been applied yet suddenly he emailed a request for $1,100 more for a service he claimed he charged $2,000 for. He claimed there was only $900 left of my retainer and the additional $1,100 would make up the difference for his "different approach" service. 3. In one of Spencer Rick's few emails, he blamed everything on the court. Suspicious at how juvenile the email sounded, I called the commissioner’s office. The commissioners clerk shared with me that Spencer Ricks hadn't even scheduled a court date. It became apparent at that time that Spencer Ricks never intended for the counterclaim to result in a hearing so there was no reason to do it anyway yet he still claimed that was a large part of the $1,500 he kept. 4. Within a couple days of requesting the additional $1,100 (which would have put my payment’s to Spencer Rick's at $3,600) the summary of the hearing was signed by the commissioner and made Spencer Ricks request for more money from me not just irrelevant but obviously frivolous. 5. Even though I paid the retainer the day Spencer Ricks asked for it, it took almost two weeks for Just Law to return what they claim is only $1,000.00 in remaining funds. This means even though Spencer Ricks did very little according to the Utah Bar Association and he did nothing he said he would, he still felt justified in keeping an amount of money several times greater than a non-juvenile, competent and professional family law attorney likely would have required. 6. After reviewing “Just Law” online it’s obvious many of the 5 star reviews are FAKE and done by them pretending to be other people or they paid an SEO company to post fake reviews for them. If you look closer at the reviews you will notice many of the reviewers don’t exist in the local area and many of them also have the exact same number of contributions. These are the tell-tale signs of the work of a “pay for review” provider. What kind of law firm posts fake reviews? In summary, many family law attorney’s in Utah are in it to string you along as long as they can to get as much money from you until they pretend to hold your hand in mediation while they play footsie with the mediator.
