If there were more than 5 stars I would give it. How should I start? The place, the moment I walked into the restaurant you can feel the family/home feeling, the decor was nice and the place was very clean and ordely. The person that tended to me was super friendly, he explained the menu to me with such detail and a smile on his face. Making me feel very comfortable about what I was about to order for me and my wife. This is my first time eating out here and I will be back with my kids. Let's talk about th food, I order a chicken Tikka Kabob with rice and salad. My wife ordered the beef shami Kabob with rice, salad and chattni. I got to tell you the food didn't disappoint, the flavor was so good, the chicken was tender, cooked to perfection, you can tell they take time marinating the chicken and then put in the skewer and the grill, they know when to take it out so it is just a litle charred around the edges yet soft and moist inside not dried like in other places here they know their way aroun their meat. The rice with a hint of saffron and their secret spices is to die for! I love rice yet this is very tasty and special. Their bean soup was unexpected yet a very special treat not salty not too savory just right. My wife's beef shami kabob was just as a pleasant as the chicken. There was a little int of spice on the meat wich makes it interesting and not bland. The tandoor bread was such a treat, we don't eat it very often and this is going to be my to go place for the Tandoor bread. We took 2 for home so my kids could tasted and it didn't ast very long after we came home, our boys ate the bread very fast. When it comes to the area, the please is really easy to get too, and there is handicap spaces as well as accomodatons for handicap as well as children. All an all it was a very excellent experience for me and my wife. This is a place that I will come back and recommed to everyone around. If you ever fee like eating Kabobs and are around El Cajon this is the place!
Great food. Came by here on a non busy afternoon and the food still came out great. Would definitely recommend the spot if you are in the area. Good customer service. I'll be back here again for sure.I have great experience here. Excerpt from Eat the Afghan delicious food.Amazing meals is intense and wonderful. Modern decor, traditional flavors -with a twist. Everything in my plate was fresh, appetizing and delicious.
As an afghan myself, I attest to the authenticity of this restaurant. Palaw, kebab, and bolani are just heavenly!Food: 5/5
Very nice to customers and the lady is so helpful and sweet . There food was freshly made with a lot of flavor and the presentation is so nice and makes it look more delicious. Very reasonable prices .My favorite culture food now . I recommend this place it’s the best thing I have ever ate . 10/10
The lady in the front was really friendly and helpful, the place looks really clean too and the food was amazing. Order the beef kabob, salad, and vegetable curry, delicious Food: 5/5
Not only they lied to us about the food that was ready but we had re order the whole thing again . The restaurant is very busy but can’t afford 2 waitress . This is literally the most annoying place to eat your food . The owner should start spending money on employee rather than lying . We would never come here. And good luck to anyone going there
WOW! AMAZING! I absolutely love this place. The food is amazing, the staff are really nice and friendly, and more importantly—the environment is very clean and organized. Talking about the food, I always order Bolani with their special sauce Chattni; it is an Afghani food and it’s really delicious. Beside Bolani, Afghani Burger is one of the things that makes me love this place. The afghani burger is really different, it has a different type of bread which they call it Afghani bread, and it is filled with fries, tomato, pickle, meat. They serve it with their special Afghani sauce. I’ve been to this place multiple times and let me tell you, I love it. They have so many different foods with amazing prices, which I would love to try in my next order.
Extremely horrible food. Plastics cooked along with Lamb shank. It's a shame and defaming of Afghan authentic food. I tried other items as well, and was bad and could not eat it. Only been qurma was good.Food: 1/5
Afghan friends mentioned they liked the food at the Kabul Kabob House, so we went to try it out. That was about 15 months ago, and we have been back about once a month since. We enjoy being able to sip tea free while we decide what to have. We like to order side dishes of kidney bean curry not on the menu, but available, vegetable curry and chicken curry--all of which are great with rice or their tandoor bread. The shami and kabob meats are freshly prepared and are very tasty. We usually order mantoo and burani bandenjan eggplant, both of which we think are especially delicious. Their boolani also is well-prepared and tasty. Since we live in Poway, and the portions are generous, we always take food home and continue to enjoy their great tasting food for a couple of days. We appreciate the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant and really enjoy eating at the Kabul Kabob House.
Authentic Afghani food. Tried Qabuli pulao & BoolaniPotato stuffed naan Very tender lamb shank! Good flavor of rice. Joy for taste buds! even though I love very spicy food, still enjoyed this flavorful meal.
