It's a nice mall but there's so many stores shut down now I used to go to like J. C. Penny's. It's quiet and slow in the morning, and busy plus loud in the afternoon/evening. There's some good restaurants and shoe stores here. Plenty of parking all around with a bus stop.
One of the last great malls of the St Louis region, these days the South County Center shopping mall feels more like an ancient market than a modern consumer experience. To those yearning for a nostalgic tour of the late 90s this is your ideal destination. There are a few empty partitions but they do not detract from the experience. Some areas have been walked off entirely and may turn some toward dismay, however there remains a glint of hope in the message to the people that these areas are only temporarily closed.
Mall isn’t too big and the indoor playground there is perfect for young kids. Bathrooms could use some repairs / updates. The food court is very good as well and the food is reasonably priced
Honestly, it's a pretty decent mall to go to. I feel like there's a lot of variety in the shops, but I hate when me or others are just walking and one of the little kiosk vendors decides it's okay to touch me to get me to stop walking and talk with them. Some of them will literally harass you, and like follow you a certain distance in an attempt to get a sale. Other than that, great mall with a lot to do, and there's so much to do OUTSIDE the mall as well. Parking has never been an issue for me, either. Not to say the mall is empty, but there are parts of the mall that could use more shops. Bit of vacancies, here.
The mall is nice but there is some vacancies and the upper Sears wing is blocked off.
This place should be bulldozed. Basically a homeless encampment. Can't walk 20 feet without a person begging for money. The only store that is really good is the record and concert t-shirt store. Have never seen one security guard. I guess they are always on a break?
A LOT of stores are not there anymore. I enjoyed the stores that are still there. Even the good court is almost empty. It's really sad. I just hope it doesn't close soon.
This mall used to be so much more, and I feel like it could be again. But right now, it's so empty that one whole wing is closed off. If the owners/management don't find a way to think outside the box to lower rents and bring in new stores, I'm afraid this facility won't hold out too much longer.
A janitorial staff Member named Margie took my daughter behind an employee locked door and I could not get to my daughter my daughter came out crying I wanna know why this employee took my daughter behind closed doors were only employees supposed to be I would say watch your children and keep them away from this woman. Tried making a police report with Saint Louis county and their worthless self said what is the crime that's been committed
It's so sad to what has happened to " Malls" ! I worked at South County when they remodeled the Mall in the early 2000s! The old mall was so ugly and dark! When they redid the mall and added the new wing , and put a Sears in too, it was so beautiful! And busy! But now, people don't want to go to indoor malls! I guess the internet killed them! Now everyone is in such a hurry !
