Katsco Properties was the worst living experience I've ever had. I'd give them less than 1 star if I could. The place I rented was falling apart. It had walls and ceilings coming down, there were holes in the flooring with missing floorboards, and it had horrible odors coming from the floor venting system. They never kept the property maintained and it was falling apart all over the place.  

When I first moved in, they did not bother to clean or prepare the unit. They left it to me filthy and disgusting. The paint they used also made it impossible to clean the surfaces without pulling the paint off with it, making every surface a sticky mess. 

This rental company was absolutely abyssmal to deal with. They were hard to get ahold of on top of all of this. Not to mention their prices were way too much for the space and quality of the apartments. They say their properties have "qualities of more than 100 years" and it shows, because they never update or take care of anything they own. 

Any time I had a repair request they would either show up 6-8 weeks later or not show at all. They state on their maintenance policy that they have "30 days to answer your repair". Yeah, don't count on that, you'll be lucky to see them by month 2. This is ridiculous when you consider any other landlord will try fixing things within the first 48 hours to 7 days.

I write this in the hopes that you all do not have to suffer at the hands of these landlords like I did.

My past living history are mainly properties that I owned. They took a leap and trusted me as a renting tenant. I was there for 1.5 years and never had any  major concerns. Whenever I had an issue, I'd receive a response via email same day. I needed a key to the basement because I blew a fuse. Scott dropped off a key that evening. I had a larger dog and asked for them to give me a day notice before entering. They respected my wishes, which is why I requested for a key drop off.

I noticed a lot of negative reviews for them (all around the same time), but honestly I never had any problems. I only moved because my pup passed away and had an option for cheaper rent. Why not?

Do not rent from these people unless you want to hate your life. When we moved in it was pointed out that puddles collected in the basement after it rains but we were charged for this when we moved out. The basement stairs were also a death trap and they would not answer the phone or reply to maintenance requests. I wish I could give them less than a one star.
