I sat in on Kelly's presentation with my parents as they were looking for a new financial advisor.  While Kelly talks a great game and is a very likable person, he led my parents and myself to believe things that were simple not true. After our first meeting I did all the research I could on the Fixed Annuity he was trying to sell my parents and found his whole presentation to be full of half truths and misleading information.  On the second meeting, I pointed out several concerns with the annuity and how it would be a problem for my parent's financial goals.  Kelly completely changed his story and took back all the wonderful things he bragged about from his first presentation. My parents, being retired people would need money each month to live were continually mislead by the idea they could withdrawal money as they needed it.   Kelly never mentioned the GIANT PENALTIES included when my parents would pull money out to live on each mother or each year. Annuities can be a great product for the right people and the right time of their life but Kelly was simply looking to make a quick buck at the expenses of my parents life savings.
