I am more than happy with the level of care and compassion they offer to their patients. NURSES ARE: *NORA*, CONNIE, LOU .. NURSES AIDS: LINDA & CHUCK (All in ICU&STEPFOWN) This is the second time my mother has been hospitalized, 3 weeks last month and so far a week and counting this time. They were all extremely informative and made sure you fully understood what was going on. The nurses personally remembered her and myself. Congratulated her on something she overcame and is now doing well with. They are some of the most friendly nurses I have ever come into contact with. They make sure every need is met and if there is anything else they make sure it’s done and you and the family are satisfied. They take the time out to see how we are both feeling and actually come and joke around with us making sure we’re not just patients in a hospital but actually cared about. I could go on and on.

My mother-in-law was admitted for observation the other night. I called the following day to check for updates on her status and was transferred to 5 different people, none of them had no clue on her status. What I find very irritating is that I called several times trying to speak to her nurse or anyone that could update me on her status. On my 7th or 8th call, I was able to speak to her nurse, Mark, but instead of providing me with updates he transferred me over to my mother-in-law's room. This guy has got to be the most idiotic nurse ever. If a family member asks for any updates whether it be how the patient is doing, critical labs, or even possible discharge, you give that family whatever they want to hear. It only takes a few minutes out of your time. You would think after being bought out by Jefferson Health, simple issues like this could be handled more appropriately. To all the nurse managers, a system needs to be implemented to ensure greater quality of care and patient satisfaction. There are plenty of evidence-based research and academic journals on improving overall quality of care in the hospital setting. I strongly encourage that the nursing administration and nurse managers take this into consideration and implement evidence-based practice. Very upsetting to see how poorly this was handled.

I became very ill and needed emergency surgery. Dr s and staff are great, assisted me and my family in getting past our medical emergency. So very pleased. More then words could say.

First off, everyone is very friendly...that is where the positives end. I wouldn't EVER want to go to this hospital A family member went to emergency...was admitted and in there for 4 days. On the night he was admitted, we had to provide a list of medications that he takes on a regular basis. We weren't allowed to keep them at hospital bc they were required to put in a script for them. Although they did keep his glaucoma eye drops on hand. Well, it turned out that they NEVER administered those prescriptions in the 4 days that he was there. This is medicine that he NEEDS to take EVERYDAY. He is now home but in worse condition than before! Don't waste your time at this hospital.

Kennnedy /Jeffferson Stratford has been nice towards me & my fiancé who is there at the time of this post. He has had kidney stones & he was in pain to the point of tears when he arrived. They do their best despite the crowded conditions.
