I was borderline in a coma when I first arrived. I don"t remember but bits and pieces of my admission. The infection that I had took over my whole body, mind, and soul.Thank God that I had the best nurse's at Kindred. I had to learn to walk, talk, and eat all over again. The nursing staff all cared about my recovery.Very impressive staff.I would recommend this hospital to everyone.Thank you to everyone for my great care.Michael McKeown room 205

I'm not there personally. The reason I am giving you a five for now is that my Brother got there yesterday. I love him so much. I live in Utah. So please take care of my brother Robert Taylor. My family told me he was transferred last night. You might think he doesn't know what is going on. He smarter than what you think He tells us in his own way if g e doesn't like what is going on. Please take really good care of him and don't let him suffer. He has had a hard life. My name is Wanda Mae (Taylor) Estrada. Named after my mom.. I know State of Illinois has guardian on him. But still my brother Kathy Ford is my nephew wife. She loves him as much as mt mom and I.She is a beautiful lady. Please tell her everything going on. Thank you.

while in ICu was a little disappointed with the 2nd and 3rd shift CNA. But when we moved upstairs to 2nd floor, they were very good to my father. The nurses, therapist and housekeeping have been very friendly and helpful.John Taylor room 218

The experience was very hit or miss in the respiratory unit. Doctors and nurses changed frequently so it was rarely the same one for more than 2 days in a row - I believe this led to continuity of care issues. Also it seemed that progress was slow and perhaps more drawn out than necessary given the health of my sister. That said, she was weaned from the ventilator in about 4 weeks. Communication was very difficult - constantly leaving messages for a doctor or nurse to get an update with calls returned hours later, if at all - this was particularly the case with doctors. Doctors did rounds at 6:00am which was very difficult if you're coming in from out of town - and with no calls returned that was sometimes the only option. Some nurses were extremely good - both very skilled and with great attitude and caring, others more mediocre. I will particularly mention "Donna" who did a great job with my sister and was always very good getting back to me to let me know how she was that day - thank you Donna!
