We camped here for a week and it was wonderful. Very quiet and peaceful. Katie the park ranger took us on a buggy tour and we all had a great time. She was very knowledgeable of all plants and wildlife in the park and also very passionate about the conservation of natural land. It's great to meet people like her.

The most beautiful and peaceful place that I have ever visited. The views, the wildlife and wonderfully warm staff makes this a must on your travels around Florida. My heart sank a little as we moved on. I definitely will return some day.

Don't go! Seriously! What a waste of time. It's basically an open field that you pay $4 to walk in. Im convinced that 99% of the reviews are paid for by the State. Please, I beg you! DON'T GO! However, to the hippie chick that asked if I wanted oatmeal, you rock!

Our favorite getaway place for camping. We enjoy the peaceful atmosphere there. Rent a bike and go around the park, do carry water with you. Best place for star gazing! Around New moon the astronomy pads gets fully booked. Even without a telescope you can enjoy the stars. Well maintained restrooms. You will definitely see at least one deer there. Last time when we were on the trail, we were lucky enough to see one corn-ratsnake and few white-tailed deers.

I stayed at Kissimmee Prairie Preserve last year and March or April. And it was the most secluded quiet peaceful enjoying Campground in Florida I have found yet. And I have been looking for 20 years now. I am a survivalist from Cincinnati Ohio. If you like to get out and get away this is your spot enjoy. This place is the most peaceful enjoyable place I camp at so far.
