Story

Since 1984, our family has been servicing and repairing cars, suvs and light trucks in Roxbury/ Randolph NJ and the surrounding areas. Recently joined in the business by our youngest son Justin, we will continue to provide the local community with high quality repairs, and excellent customer service at reasonable rates. Our AAA Approved Auto Repair Center is known as the auto repair shop you can trust. We are the friendly alternative to the dealership for all your automotive repair and maintenance needs.

We took our car here about 6 times to get the AC repaired. It was so inconvenient that we had to keep dropping it off because they couldn't find a leak. Then when they said they finally found it, it worked for a few weeks. It cost over $900 to fix everything. When we called to tell them it stopped working they said it was actually another seal that was broken on the compressor. We couldn't replace the seal and had to buy a whole new compressor. The total estimate again was $985, when the compressor is only about $300. When we said that we were not interested in fixing it for that price since we had already put a lot of  money into it, the response we got was 'oh we thought you would say that.' Really unprofessional and inconsiderate of their customers.

I'm still waiting for a quote on a rebuilt transmission they promised me on a car I bought through them. They tend to be a bit melodramatic with the repairs your car might need, but they don't inflate what it is your car might need.

A couple of days ago I was heading out to PA, and my low-pressure tire light came on. I was just about to pass Knights auto and decided to stop in and see if I could get air put in the tires, (which has in the past all that’s needed).

My car was taken right away, and I stood outside the bay as the technician measured the pressure on each tire, and started to take one tire off. I asked if there was a problem he explained to me that this particular tire was a pound or two lower than the rest and he just wanted to check and make sure that there wasn’t a reason. Sure enough there was a nail in the tire.

In almost every case in the past, the person putting the air in would fill the tires and I would be on my way. If the low pressure light came on again, it would mean a problem. No one usually wants to bother taking the time to visually check and see if there is a problem. 

The tire was repaired and I was very grateful that I stopped by, on a whim, to get them checked by a group of people who are not only conscientious, polite, have fair prices and prompt service, but care about you and your safety as well as your car.

Just started going here, excellent work and great value from a top team. Along with honesty, integrity and excellence in service, I fully recommend Knight Auto Repair for service on any vehicle. I will continue going here for any work.
