Liver and onions overcooked.  Food was not hot.  Bread was cold.  Coleslaw very runny. Friendly service but had flies buzzing around our food.

Enjoyed a delicious breakfast (served all day!) on a dime in this cozy little diner. Everyone, both servers and other patrons, was friendly to us out-towners. Nothing pretentious, just classic food served right.

We were passing through the town, coming home from Luray, and looking for a place to eat a late lunch. I really wanted to like this place. I love diners. I love cute local restaurants. The reviews were so warm and I loved the photos of the old-time soda fountain. Unfortunately, I just didn't enjoy the visit. The few other patrons seemed friendly. The staff was not the most together, although very friendly. The prices are cheap to reasonable, but sort of all over the place. The food itself wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't want to eat it again. I had an egg dish. The eggs were fine, but any potato smaller than a full slice tasted burnt. The toast was slathered with a tasteless grease- butter? It wasn't like any butter or margarine I've ever had. The bacon wasn't great, but no worse than any other diner bacon. Maybe we came at an off time? I wouldn't stop in again.

Just 4 stars today because the service was too slow. Anyway still my favorite breakfast restaurant.
