If you need a cozy break from the stress of work and city life, take a trip to Greenwich Village and grab yourself a drink. Just a few steps away from the High Line, Kobrick Coffee is located in the perfect area with a great selection of food and drinks. It's a bit pricey for food with portions on the smaller side, but it's a classy place and a calming atmosphere.
I used to frequent this place esp right after Covid. I loved having meetings here and working for at least an hour. But the baristas before used to be friendly, smile at you and you’d feel they really want u there. Nope not anymore so I stopped going. This was proven by my visit last weekend. There’s so many coffee places in Manhattan, I’d go where it’s a nice friendly atmosphere. Vegetarian options: Mushroom toast
For about six years now, every time I find myself in the meatpacking district excitement wells up because I know a spectacular cup of coffee awaits. Indeed Kobrick’s has consistently been an amazing coffee experience over the years. The shop itself is beautiful with a mysterious short hallway that leads to a cozy quaint sitting area. I prefer the main sitting area however, which felt more cafesque as the beautiful espresso machine is pumping out drinks and New Yorkers are coming and going. They also offer an extensive array of baked goods including New York staples such as babka. This cafe feels very New York. And perhaps its the marketing, boasting a century of coffee making, thats working on me but it does feel storied here. The cafe indeed has an ambiance harking back to the 1920’s and an aura of the jazz age. And maybe because they open up later for cocktails, Im reminded of stories set during the prohibition. Whatever the reason Kobricks offers moments not often found in an ever-changing city. They offer moments back in time. And for that they are precious to me
amazing espresso martinis, slightly overpriced. we went to the serviced portion of kobrick coffee for drinks. the martinis were solid, and we appreciated they used kobrick coffee in them. they were, however, both over $20, which was kind of pricey. definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for a yummy and good quality espresso martini :
theres two halves of this store, one is an upscale bar/coffee shop and the other is quick service. we went to the fancy part to check it out. Its the kinda spot you go to if youre tryna spend 30$ on a cocktail. not me. we got regular coffee stuff and it was nothing to write home about. My partner and I got in a fight here and i blame it on the coffee.
Cozy and sophisticated interior. We were just stopping for coffee and the Kyoto Negroni. Both were great, though didn’t taste much of the coffee in negroni but it was a nice cocktail.Service: 5/5
Very relaxed, comfortable atmosphere. Loved the decor. Pricey, but drinks were good Food: 5/5
Usually I'm not into upscale coffee spots such as this one but I was in the area and needed a quick pick me up so I stopped into Kobrick! Coffee tasted great and did just what I needed.Service: 5/5
Overall predictable experience. Coffee, the DRIP, is decent, definitely better the Starbucks down the block. Price is decent & fair, considering it's located at the heart of a touristy area. Service is good and efficient. The wait time was short, and has ample seating for sit-down or coffee break, plus the streets & parks around are pleasant to stroll too ...
I only had a Chai Latte but the service is good and the atmosphere is very cozy. Got to sit on the divan and relax while waiting for the Whitney museum. Got in at 9:15, just before a big rush and we're not hurried to make our order. Didn't try the pastries, but they looked good. They don't look to be baked on site, but still a nice variety.
