A beautiful and relaxing place! There are about 10 to 12 historic buildings on one side of the site (there is some quite interesting background to the site) with wonderful picnic and playground facilities on another. It is right on the Estero River, and there are canoes and kayaks available; an easy to use boat launch right there. LOTS of camping spaces, each with water, electricity and a fire pit. They have a market on Sunday mornings! All together, a truly unique and restful place.

Wonderful events. Spent the day at the flea market.  So unique. Had a Croatian lunch then later snacked at the koreshan bakery.  Beautiful lush native plants.  Well kept buildings and nicely curated.  Great story and history here and lovely to walk around and spend the day.  Rangers were so helpful and informative.

Really enjoyed camping at this state park! The bathrooms were closer than the map made it seem. It was also quiet and we felt really safe. I don’t think all the campsites are sandy but ours appeared to be extra sandy. We were tracking it everywhere but the positives of everything outweighed that. The historic settlement was also a really interesting gem. It is close to Coconut Point as a plus.

Love to come here with my dog and walk the trails. There's lots to do, very family friendly. They offer kayak rentals as well. Check out the farmers market on Sundays.

I've only been here twice. I come here during the late winter early spring when they have some kind of Festival that has the hit and miss engines, quilting, vendors out the wazoo, and I cannot for the likes of me remember what the name of this Festival is. However this is a nice Camp spot. It's rather close to everything. from what I've read you could take a walk all around the historical sites and even do some canoeing. It's clean, well-maintained, and the park personnel are quite friendly.
