Have a slate roof, and therefore, Kreiling is my only option. Kinda like Comcast. 

Neighbor had service techs working on his slate roof, and I showed them what we needed for our roof. Guys were incredibly helpful, talked to me about solutions, and gave me a couple of numbers to call to set up an appointment with the "sales guys/estimators." Wish I just could have hired the crew to do the work right on the spot without having to go through the white collar workers. No call back, after leaving messages several times. 

This is the second time struggling to get an estimate on this house. I guess my only option at this point is to get an out of town crew to come do repairs. The sad part is that they already have worked on this house numerous times in it's 100+ years existence, but can't seem to call us back. 

We feel lucky to be given the opportunity to own this house, but need to find a reliable slate roofer for maintenance and repair. Kreiling has disappointed us again, and we've never even had the opportunity to have them work on the roof for us.

After the hailstorm in November, I contacted my insurance company regarding possible hail damage to our roof.  They referred me to three roofing companies for an estimate of damage.  Kreiling was the first one I called.  I was informed there would be an $80 charge for the inspection.  Our roof was inspected within three days.  I was told that we had significant damage (6 on a scale of 1-10).  Subsequently, we had inspections done by two other roofing companies an independent adjuster dispatched by our insurance company.  None of the other companies charged for the inspection and all three said we had no roofing damage.  I feel like we spent $80 for inaccurate information.

Earlier this year of 2017 (I think it was sometime in April or May), the president of Kreiling called me to discuss my concerns regarding my initial review found above.  I complained about $80 charge.  He explained that they charge for the inspection because of the  "many wild goose chases they encounter".  My reply was that none of the other roofing companies charged a fee.  He asked me what they could do and I suggested a refund of the $80.  He said he would consider it and let me know.  I also questioned why his inspector found "significant damage" and the other three inspectors found very little damage.  He asked if he could personally inspect our roof and provide us with a report of his findings.  I agreed to let him do that as long as we were not charged.  It is now mid-September and I have heard nothing regarding the refund NOR the re-inspection.

Great company to work with.  I have worked with them on two different occasions.  The first time was years ago, when I found some shingles in our yard after a big storm.   They came out, inspected the roof (free of charge) and quickly determined the shingles had come off the neighbor's house.  They assured me that our roof was in good condition and did not need any repairs.  I called Krieling again last year, when our roof needed to replaced.  They came out, inspected (free of charge), discussed the options with me, and within a couple days they sent me a written estimate.  The work was done on time by a very friendly and professional crew.  The property was cleaned up at the end of each day and when the project was completed.
