Story

The mission of this practice will be to provide members of the community with quality dental treatment in a caring and professional environment. Quality will be defined as the best treatment that could be rendered by any well-trained dental professional in the given set of patient circumstances. To meet this objective, we will strive to provide an open environment for patients to ask questions and ensure that patients have adequate information to make an informed decision regarding their dental treatment. In addition, we will eagerly seek to educate not only patients within the practice, but people in the community about matters that affect their dental health.

Dr. Herring graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry in 2005. Following dental school, she stayed in Chapel Hill to complete a one-year residency in Advanced General Dentistry. She has been practicing dentistry in Hickory since 2006 and enjoys an excellent reputation in the area, having even been voted “Finest Dentist” by the readers of the Hickory Daily Record in 2010. She enjoys working with both adults and children as dental patients and truly sees her profession as a service. Dr. Herring has been the dental coordinator of the Give Kids a Smile program in Catawba County for the past ten years and was a key member of the team that organized the Hickory Missions of Mercy dental clinic in June 2012. She is active in the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society and Foothills Dental Continuum. She is an active member of First Baptist Church Hickory and enjoys running, FUEL and spending time with her family. Dr. Herring is married to Dr. Jason Herring of Hamilton and Herring Orthodontics. They have two children Josh and Amelia and one four legged child, Scout!
