This place is clean, and has a beautiful little floral area. If you need a pretty bouquet quick then this could be a go to. However, it is about double the price on everything compared to Wal-Mart (from what a couple shoppers and I noticed). They try to trick you with those sale price stickers, but they still seem higher on all my normal purchases. I went in because I was in a hurry. I don't think I'll go back though (except maybe for flowers).

Went to this store mainly to get one of their fresh-cooked pizzas. I've had one before and it was excellent. $15 for a large deluxe. I thought it kinda odd that they don't say anywhere what hours they make pizzas. So I asked a mgr. and he said they start around lunch time (?). Don't want to be too exact I guess. Today (around 5 PM) I was told by the mgr. that they were short staffed so they didn't take any pizza dough out this AM. There were workers in the deli but no one knew how to make a pizza? It ain't that hard! Anyway, find something that works and then don't do it. That seems to be their secret.....

I do most my shopping at Kroger, but this is not one you want to shop at (opps, Google asking review last one I visited - this review was written for Kroger near MacArthur).  Poor customer service probably due to management.  Policies may possibly be discremanatory towards the lower economic clientele store services
Entry doors locked before store stated closing hours.   Security guard at me a minute before close telling me I had to leave.  I asked about sale cereal for $0.99 and was told they were out.  I asked for a raincheck and security told me I could not get one.  I asked for manager.  I was referred to Carlos who told me they don't give raincheck on the Saturday super sale items.
I went up the street to Kroger in NLR.  They still had major cereal display, more than 100 boxes.  The ground beef, thevother Saturday super sale item was sold out.  But, they gave me a raincheck.
Discremanatory practices based on neighborhood?
Won't be stopping @ MacArthur Kroger ever and I may be shopping Walmart neighborhood market more frequently instead of Cabot & Chenal Krogers.  They have better service, but do I want to shop a company that allows differing practices for lower income neighborhoods?

Recently remodeled, it is so much nicer, definitely worth the months of waiting for this remodel to end. They have a larger selection of fruits & vegetables which are always fresh and in great condition. I do wish they had a larger selection of international foods, granted they do have more international stuff than walmart. Staff is friendly and always willing to help. I very seldom have to wait in line, they have plenty of staff at the register and also offer a self-checkout line. And as if all that wasn’t enough, now they have a larger selection of wine and beer than before. I work nights so their hours are perfect for me so I can head up there right after work sometimes if I need something in the morning. Definitely my favorite place to get groceries now, and so close to my house too!

I was able to locate vegan meals I had been looking for. They had a great selection. They were kind of expensive.
