We stopped in the store at Colonie. My daughter and son-in-law shopped while we kept their son busy. We received a call saying they were outside ready to leave. They hadn't purchased anything. When they were in line to pay the clerks asked for the next customer and did not wait on them. So they left what they were purchasing there and walked out. Very poor customer service!

One of our favorite retailers. The store is beautiful and full of awesome clothing, outdoor gear, homegoods, etc. Best exchange policy. We brought back my son's 2 year old rain jacket with a broken zipper and they gave us a new one. They stand behind their products so I don't mind paying more. My rain jacket is 10 years old and still works great. Best school backpacks. Friendly, helpful staff.

Staff can vary. Sometimes they can be unfriendly.  Generally my experience with them was 30% positive, 70% neutral or negative.  I returned two sweaters, one of which because of the material, looked crinkled in the bag I placed it.  The cashier asked if I wore or washed and before I could answer, she looked at one of them and said, "this one was."  It had the tag on it!  Then when exchanging another item, she cut me off when I tried to comment on the fact I was given a coupon. She curtly said, "wait, just let me see."  It was extremely rude.  I know bad days can happen but it was unprofessional.  I would rather buy and return things from online than chance a 2/3 rude employee.

The best satisfaction guarantee ever. This past week returned a sweater bought in 1910 by my great grandfather.  They were like "no problem".

Loved LL Bean, but do not recommend any online ordering until the company gets its "computer system" together.
