I wanted to take my son to get his first hair cut, and I thought I could use a trim as well.  I had long layers, and my hair was long enough to easily put in a pony tail.  She ended up cutting lots of short layers, cutting the hair above my ears short, and putting bangs in front. She also just cut a HUGE chunk out of one side.   Looking at another review, this seems to be a common problem. 
 I told the woman that it looked really bad, but she said it would look nice.  I ended up telling them I wouldn't pay for it (I've never not paid for a hair cut before), and they wouldn't let me leave the store.  Two of them held onto my two year old's stroller and blocked me from exiting.  I ended up having to take my son out of his stroller and leaving it behind, so I could leave the store while a person who came by distracted them.  They tried to grab my purse, they told me I was dirty, and they were just yelling insults at me.  They got in my face to take pictures, and I ended up having to call the police.  
 It's pretty sad.  Last time my hair was this short, it took a year to grow to shoulder length. I was really happy to finally have "long" hair again, and then she did this.  The only way to fix the missing chunk is to cut it all off.
 It is an Asian run store, so they may not know how to cut curly hair.  They should have just said they don't know how to do it, and I could have gone somewhere else.  Either way, their reaction (especially with my baby present) was uncalled for.
