The building looks great since the remodel. Very nice locker rooms. And I'm not sure why someone complained about the floors being mopped, because I've seen them being mopped almost every time I've been there.

I like the outdoor pool; the temperature is much better for lap swimming than other LA Fitness locations nearby with their indoor pools, which tend to be too hot. However, note that the outdoor pool is not a standard length; rather than being 25 yards, it's 23-1/2 yards long, which is strange. The outdoor whirlpool is large and nice.

I want to scream and curse so bad but decided to delete my initial response. Just know I seriously dislike this scam of a gym. I am member of L.A. Fitness all the way in Texas. Someone from this gym called me about my membership. One week I got multiple calls from different numbers from L.A. Fitness reps and a number associated with this gym was one of them. I redialed the number from my phone and called back to discuss any late fees on my account due to my credit being replaced for fraud. Unfortunately this seem like a place that also fraud my card as well because after I got off the phone with the gym employee I had a $5.00 charge on my credit card. I called back and the Zumba instructor answered and sounded so empathetic and pretended she would do all that she can to deliver the message.....well I guess they didn't get the message or give a damn because I still have the charge on my card. I don't care if it's just $5.00 it the point that I called them back because they initially called me and they charge me for asking a questions even after I had walked into my local Texas gym where my membership is registered and paid my membership. This was totally unnecessary to charge me anything!!! I'm very disgusted with the entire staff I talked to that day, and very, very furious!!! If I lived there I would not advise anyone to deal with the staff there.

Overall a good gym, they have all the equipment you could need. Although the equipment is old and needs to be updated. Spin bike are from the 90s. Pretty much 90% of the equipment needs to be updated. Not the greatest but good enough to work out.

Punching bag (singular)
Dated free weights
Plentiful cardio equipment.

Cons:
Outdated
Horrible feeling spin bikes
Old school ab machines

Seriously? The entire gym is closed for renovations until Friday, but this is the only LA Fitness close by. If i had my membership at this gym ONLY, I'd cancel my membership immediately for that kind of inconvenience. Am i getting a week's fees pro-rated back to my account for this? Nope. I guarantee you that all members that only use this gym just have to take it on the chin with no compensation. I encourage everyone to cancel their membership if this is your main gym. Then they can renovate the gym for good and sell it to a competitor that knows how much a week affects someone's workout plan.

Renovations are great, but they haven't mopped the floors since they opened back up... what's the point of remodeling if you're not going to maintain it??? It's been 2 months, mop the floor! On any given morning at 9 am the Montclair la fitness is having the fkoors mopped
