After being a member of LA Fitness for roughly 10 years, I've made the decision to cancel my membership based on the constant degradation of not just the building itself, but of the equipment, staff, bathroom and locker room facilities.  The entire unit as a whole seems to be continuously falling down and from what I've witnessed nobody seems to care. Equipment is broken for months at a time; black mold present in the bathroom, showers, locker room; dirty floors, walls, sinks, mirrors, employees; the place smells as though nobody has ever cleaned; trash cans overflowing; paper towels not present at any point in time; and a staff that is that of a revolving door. I can't seem to see the same person in the gym for more than 2 weeks without them disappearing and being replaced by a brand new employee.  After a lengthy email to corporate to inform them of the issues I received a reply simply stating (and I'm paraphrasing) 'I understand your frustration. We want to provide a good club for members. I gave the info to our District Operations Manager. Cancel via online form printed out and taken in to club or sent via regular mail.' And that was it without including an apology, sincerity, no offering of assistance or resolution to the concerns. Simply a statement that to me says 'Sure we know there are issues, but we don't really care.' I implore anybody reviewing this or any LA Fitness to take a long hard look at the gym and not sign anything or pay a single dollar until you've done full research. When you do you'll find this club lacking in anything worth even $5 of your money.

I wish give 0 star to this fitness center; Horrible management & nasty customer services; broken machine & tool everywhere, swimming pool & jacuzzi took longer time to repair than in service, lock room is dirty day and night, the worst part is their notification system, no one call you when trainer is absent... 
they don't care of business, don't care of members.
Find other fitness center, not this LA Fitness Center in Parsippany, not worth your money.

I wish, I have the option to give 0 stars for this LA fitness branch. They are not honest and don't value the members. They say all bull sh** to get you signed.  Hope this location develops good relations and trust with members.

P.S: Don't blindly believe their words and read all the terms and conditions before signing  in any documents/agreements.

For app. $25/month this gym offers a full range of facilities incl. indoor pool and sauna. In my view this represents an excellent ratio between price and performance. Some of the criticism (e.g. regarding cleanliness) is factually correct. However, in my observation that is largely due to members' behavior. People walk away from exercise equipment without cleaning up afterwards with oaccassionally disgusting results. Many leave used paper, empty bottles and sometimes even underwear back in the showers. In other words, if more members did not behave like pigs but as responsible adults, the situation could change a lot.

Place smells bad and is generally unclean. They seldom use the air conditioning when needed and most of the staff appear too stuck up to greet you or make eye contact. Poor management.
