One of the better gyms around.. the staff are great at advice and help when needed and the equipment are always available and clean .. the pool, sauna and hot tub are a definite plus .. the Zumba classes are always crowded but definitely a great workout.. they even have a play center for kids if the parents need!

Great facility! I thoroughly enjoy working out here. The staff is generally very nice and welcoming when you walk in and scan your badge. To begin with, this place is huge compared to any other gym I have been to. It has every possible machine and weight you could imagine for isolating muscles and getting the resistance training you need. Plenty of classes are offered and are included with your membership. As many treadmills, ellipticals, and bike machines you could ever need in a place like this. Albeit recently I have seen quite a few of them out of service or schduled for service. Racquetball ball courts a plenty if thats your thing. Four lane swimming pool with a hottub. The Men's locker room is nice as well. Plenty of sinks, lockers, and showers. The sauna is a dry sauna so no steam. Everything for the most part is maintained well. I suggest cleaning any machine you use before and after you use it, because they are not cleaned regularly and people are kazy about cleaning up after themselves. Im not gonna give 5 stars because the initial membership fee is outrageous and is well over $100 just to join. Normal monthly fee is about $30 which is nice for what you get, but cut back on the initial fee. Also, unless you have the money, personal training costs are insane as well. I got a once a week deal and the initial fee on that was about $200 plus the reoccuring fee of $180 a month. The person selling personal training prices to me tried very very hard to upsell me to $260 for two days a week. I dont know anyone that would pay that much for personal training, if you do, you have no personal motivation to workout for the other 6 days of the week. All in all great place but expect to pay more than you would ever be willing to pay for a membership.

My fiance and I went in let's say a year ago to get a membership. When we signed up, we asked what our options were if I had to cancel my membership because I was going to law school in downtown Dallas which already had a gym. The lady told us that if I chose to drop the membership that we could re-initiate the membership at the same rate provided my fiance stayed on the account. We agree to a membership on that basis. Six months later, I dropped because, like I said, I was going to graduate school in downtown Dallas. A week ago, I try to re-enroll, and the staff refuse to honor what the previous staff member said. Either the initial staff member lied, or this new staff member is lying. I declined to enroll at that time. Today, I printed out a guest pass for a week because we wanted to try out one of the classes. The lady at the front desk refused to activate it. She then said "someone over there will help you". We stood "over there" staring at about six staff members with empty chairs in front of them for about five minutes before someone reluctantly talks to us. He refuses to honor the guess pass from the LA fitness website. We tell him we'd like to cancel our membership, and he points to the desk we were just standing at. The lady at the desk says she can't help us and rights down a phone number which she tells my fiance to call. My fiance asks her to call the number because we'd like to cancel today. She tells us we can either fill out a form and mail it in and come back another day to sign it or call the number. We go to our car and call the number to cancel, and she instructs us that we need to go inside to cancel the membership. Basically, this is the worst customer service I've ever experienced.

I was reluctant to try this facility based on the reviews.. However, as suspected majority of these bad reviews are just paid whining about not getting their way it seems. This facility is over 10 yrs old and is considerably well maintained. They recently got a new GM (Travis) it seems and he has already started replacing carpet in locker rooms etc and they are renovating the groin fitness room. All being done after hours and not affecting the members environment too much. Heck the men's carpet was done overnightI was shocked. I was advised they have also ordered the padding on the stretching machines as soon as Travis noticed they were in need. Considering they are corporate run there are lots of policies governing the staff to make the decisions they do appearently. Including cancellation procedures (must be done during business hours by operations manager) amd not letting just anyone workoit for free whenever they want.....which I appreciate. If they just let everyone and their mother workout for free we probably wouldn't have a place standing as paying members. I employee anyone questioning these reviews to do as I did and ask for the General Manager. The new one is Travis and he was VERY willing to answer all my questions and explain why some people complain about the things they do. LA Fitness seems to be the largest company in the country when it comes to fitness facilities. Clearly they are doing SOMETHING right... Don't let people that are just whining to try and get sokme $$ thrown at them from a corporate juggernaut sway your decision. I almost did and I'm glad I chose to ask questions and look myself.
