La Habra Animal Control recommended for me to let 2 stray dogs run home because they had no one on duty.

Disappointment:  I rescued 2 stray Pitbull mix in La Habra on 9.29.17 around 715pm.  La Habra Animal Control did not have someone on duty and told me to let them go as they may run home, since I could not keep them.   UNACCEPTABLE!

As a resident of the city and taxpayer, I expect better resources to help in this situation.

POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS:

1.  La Habra should offer a drop off location which would hold dogs until officer is on duty (a 24 hour vet, private rescue, boarding facility, or at the police station)

2.  La Habra should contract with OC Animal Control for after hours.  (I had to lie that I got the dogs in Fullerton so they would take them)

3.  I would have even paid money to keep them safe.

ALRIGHT LA HABRA, it is time to step it up in animal control.

their method of animal control is euthanasia.  do not contact if you are an animal lover . there's always a solution that doesn't involve death .
