I love this place! The food on the menu sounded so good that it was hard to make a decision. Then when the food arrived, it looked & smelled so good that I tore into it before I remembered to take a picture to post. The staff is great. The decor is rustic. Oh, did I mention...I love this place!

My family of four went to the restaurant at 7:30 pm. We got seated right away and we got our drinks and ordered our food, I got New York Strip and my dad got the Turkey dinner. We waited aroun 20 minutes until we got our food. As I cut into my steak it was PURPLE!! I touched it and it was stone cold. We took it back and a few minutes later my dad started to cut into his Turkey and it was pink and tasted funny. So I got my steak back and my dad took his back. A few minutes later the manager came over and took both meals off of the bill and gave us a free dessert. The dessert was so good. Overall food wasn't the best but the service was great, everyone one is so friendly and nice.

Servings are very generous and the price is so reasonable. Servers are polite and the place is always neat and clean. I dine here when I need to have a quiet time, read my bible and write on my journal

If you're looking for a healthy breakfast, this probably isn't the place for you. Food is good but decadent. Pancakes are huge, biscuits are softball sized, and you'll go home with leftovers. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast, corned beef hash, chicken fried steak, and some pancakes. Our only issue was the less than impressive hash browns. They were not crispy at all and were bland. Black Bear diner is basically Carrows on steroids.

Nice quiet place. Seems like it is geared for an older/mature crowd. Everything was going fine until they brought my mom's food and did not give her the pasta that should have come with her chicken parmesan.
