This tucked away, got know it's there Mexican restaurant is great! I was told the burritos were big....wow! I put a straw next to this ginormous burrito for scale,lol. Literally biggest burrito I seen, let alone tried to eat! Fresh chip,salsa. House made hot sauce. Corona and Pacifico on draft. New favorite!
This is my go to Mexican place! The food is always hot and fresh. On Cinco De Mayo they stayed open an hour late to accommodate me and a friend and the food was fresh and drinks were perfect. Highly highly recommend this place!
My fam loves this place and saved me some leftovers of the seafood fajitas one time. It had way more fish variety than I've ever seen from a Mexican place -- mussels, crab legs, scallops, etc. There were excellent flavors and surprisingly good quality fish, considering where we are and the prices not being too crazy. Nothing on the plate was boring. They have an extensive menu that covers most bases for an authentic Mexican spot and it has a few creative dishes too. Portions are large massive burritos so you get good value. I sampled a variety of street tacos: al pastor caught me off guard by how amazing it was, and the meat tacos had much bolder flavors than the shrimp/fish ones. Both salsas were very good/complementary. There's sooooo much more I want to come back and try. La Jaiba is a gem!
We went to La Jaiba Seafood and Tanqueria alast night and it was the best Mexican food I have had in Cincy so far. As soon as you walk in the aroma of the spices hit you. Pictures don’t do this place justice. The vibe is mom and pop/hole in the wall but with a ton of regulars. The owner knew that we hadn’t been in before and chatted us up and made some great recommendations! Below is the Pollo Feliz and the La Jaiba Burrito. Packed with flavor, I don’t think I’ll be able to go somewhere else until I go through the menu. Very authentic, like going to a small village in Mexico with generational knowledge about how to prepare the perfect meal!

Really blew me away with how good this place was. Glad that high quality Mexican food is out in the burbs. Do not underestimate it based on location - its a genuine hole in the wall best kept secret type atmosphere. Highly recommended!

My fiancé introduced me to this place when we first moved to Cincinnati a year ago. It’s a family owned and family oriented restaurant that is very delicious and most importantly, CLEAN. I have been there plenty of times and the bathroom and dining area is immaculate every single visit. The staff is always friendly, helpful and polite. Their burritos are unique to their menu only and very delicious. I’ve tried so many of them, too many to remember the names, but what I do remember is that all of them were delicious. Their menu as a whole is delicious but I am a huge fan of their burritos bc they’re stuffed with all the Mexican fixings’ and are shareable amongst Two people. Every time I always have half left for lunch the next day. This is a good place to go if you’re wanting authentic Mexican food and to also support a local family businesses in the Mason/Loveland area. Vegetarian options: They have a vegetarian menu with rice, veggies, and beans. Kid-friendliness: Family owned restaurant with a Chill atmosphere. Parking: It’s located in a shopping plaza, so there is plenty of parking.
My wife and I were in the mood for some Mexican food and La Jaiba was not far from where we were. We enjoyed the family feel of the staff and felt welcomed. We ordered Lunch Specials and the portions were very generous. I really enjoyed the Chori Pollo that I ordered. My wife, although she prefers another restaurant, she certainly ate all the goodies that came with the chicken fajitas she ordered. Look them up and stop in for a good bite to eat.
