Very cute & quaint smallish Italian place worthy of a visit & dining. True Italian. Not Italian-American despite the red-chequered table cloths. Food is def a cut-above & they have rate squid ink pasta w/ seafood which is to die for. Silver Lake neighborhood restaurant on very walkable Sunset Blvd. Carson our waiter was super attentive & friendly. $18-30 entrees & worth it. Highly recommended.
I like this no fuss Italian restaurant serving delicious pasta and risotto. There are signature orders but one can also mix and match regular or filled pasta with different sauces. I usually get the spinach and cheese ravioli with seafood but today I ordered the grilled branzino. The fish came with a lemon caper sauce that was sublime. It’s the best branzino I’ve had in a long time. My family loved the risotto de mare as well as the butter and sage cheese filled gnocchi. The food was plentiful and there was no room for dessert. La Pergoletta is a must try. They also make a mean risotto Al funghi and seafood with brandy sauce. Parking is easier here than the Los Feliz location.
A nice attempt at creating a family vibe of an Italian restaurant. Comfortable outdoor seating, friendly staff. I ordered the Pescatora sauce over Papparadelle. The Shrimp were a good size but did not stand out. Papparadelle was a bit overcooked and soggy. Sauce was good. Overall, nice atmosphere with average foodFood: 3/5
The food was okay but I did not appreciate the server pushing his recommendations on us after we politely declined. For every single one of the items, it was "No no, I like this one" and would change our order to what he felt was best. Not saying he is a bad guy or anything but he felt more like a persistent car salesman than a server. If a customer is asking for recommendations or you're informing us about your specials that is one thing. His opinion was unsolicited as he was not going to be the one eating the food. It was rude especially when we were very confident about what we wanted and polite when placing our order. Let your customer place the order in peace and keep your opinion to yourself unless asked. It's just common courtesy.
My friends made dinner reservations for Saturday night and my expectations were exceeded. I had the caprese salad, the fried polenta server recommended, and the mushroom risotto. All of the dishes were great and that was probably the best risotto I've ever had in my life. If you want to dine in you'll need a valid ID with matching vaccination card. Servers were very knowledgeable and made excellent wine recommendations. I also had a side of the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection. This is some of the best Italian food I've had in a long time!
So far this was the best Italian place I have been in LA. The tiramisu it’s a must, I felt in my grandma’s house. Staff is very friendly. Happy that I found this hidden gem, just found my new favorite restaurant.
I love this place, come a few times a year . I love many of the dishes. Last time I went the vibe was def weird. Service was good. Music however was horrible. Didn’t feel romantic/ Italian Restaurant vibes. It was straight Japanese Pop club music kinda playlist. I even had to use Shazam because it was so crazy stupid. . Especially for A drippy candle light dinner….The door was also open and the street was loud and the breeze was cold. I come for the & I still love this place though
Love this place, very authentic Italian food. Everything is so perfect, will come back for sure.
I forgot to take pictures of the food as it was too delicious, so I will try to describe it instead. Chapter I: Appetizer A heavenly tosted slice of rustic bread The base for any so-called bruschetta. Parma, brie, honey, and olives all met, At the top of this piece of art, perfetta. Chapter II: The Pasta Raviolini filled with brasato in pesto verde. Dense and filling and rich in every way, The man that doesn't try them surely perde The one chance to dream during the day. Chapter III: The Tagliata Tender like clouds, of pink the perfect shade, The Filet Mignon engulfed in a cream of funghi. On the side more fresh pasta filled the plate, To savor everything, my bites were oh so lunghi. Chapter IV: The Final Countdown Jesus was his name and just like his namesake, Arrived to inspire us with otherworldly food. His presence during the night surely make The best setting, yes, perfect, not only good. WILL BE BACK!
Food tasted great. However, the food caused me to wake up in the middle of the night because of the nausea and stomach pain. Felt like I had to vomitFood: 1/5
