My wife and I decided to try this restaurant. My wife went to one in Lima Peru. We arrived around 3pm and we saw the cook smoking at the entrance. We waited a few minutes in the car after the cook was done with his smoking. By the way we hate smoking. I ordered a “Florentine pizza” and my wife wanted “cannelloni”. The waitress said: Let me ask if we have cannelloni because yesterday we did not have it. She came back saying yes we have it, so my wife ordered it. To drink we ordered Inca kola. We were served the drinks and a courtesy appetizer. Later on the waitress came with the dishes, she did not offer any chili sauce, tabasco or similar. We started eating thinking she might come back shortly with sauces but she didn’t. I called her and asked for chili. She went to look for it in the refrigerator then she went into the kitchen and took a while. When I was at half of my pizza she came back with chili sauce saying, it is fresh they just made it trying to justify the time she took. The pizza was good and I shared some with my wife but she found an olive seed and she almost break a tooth. Regarding the cannelloni, it was not cannelloni, they made instead some kind of lasagna trying to simulate cannelloni. Anyway we finished our dishes and requested the check and told the waitress about the seed we found and recommended her to be more careful. She apologized and promised to let the cook know. The restaurant was almost empty during the time we were there. We paid our bill and left a tip of 15% and I don't like the suggested tip of 18%, 20% or more that restaurants nowadays suggest on the receipt. In general the pizza was OK and the supposed cannelloni was disappointed. The seed experience terrible. We do not plan in coming back ever.
My family and I love it here! This is a small family owned restaurant that has very delicious food. We have been here a few times already and always had great food and service so I had to leave a review. They are not only very friendly but super accommodating to any dietary needs and they have so many options. I ate the cauliflower pizza but I needed it to be vegan and they were so kind to adjust the ingredients for me - they made the pesto without cheese and it was fantastic! They also have gluten-free pasta which tasted just like regular pasta. All the food was so fresh and full of flavor The last time I came to eat here I had the salmon with veggies and again did not disappoint! We definitely want to try their breakfast and lunch
Delicious! My wife is Peruvian and she says this is the most authentic restaurant we've found. Extremely polite and nice. For sure our new favorite!
First time trying this restaurant and let me tell you, i did not regret one thing. Everything was delicious. We got a shrimp, garlic, mushroom appetizer and it was SOOO good!!! Definitely try it! I got the alfredo with fettuccine and chicken and it did not disappoint. It was creamy and cheesy! I will definitely be back!
Found this local gem and I can’t say enough about the place. The food was very fresh and oh so tasty. We ordered from their 12.99 lunch special which included one starter, entree and a drink and of course, focaccia bread with olive oil. My fiend ordered the Spaghetti Carbonara and I have to admit the four of us agreed it is the best we’ve had in a very long time. Made exactly like we had it in Italy and not with cream or Alfredo sauce like most restaurants tend to cook it with. It was fresh and brought to the table immediately. The way it should be. We are all going back for it. I have to admit, the only two things that were not thrilled with was the tiramisu and the Chaufa Rice special the tiramisu tasted a little funny and I assumed the special chaufa rice had shrimp in it. My bad totally my fault. I shouldn’t have assumed. With that said, we will definitely return to this local gem! Stop by if you are in the area. Our server Pía was so wonderful and sweet. Thank you Pia. We will see you soon.
The restaurant is well presented and by the decor, you can see how the founder’s historical element is being preserved. I ordered Lèche de Tigre, which was definitely different. However, even though I liked the raw fish, my stomach did not. I also had the Bolognese lasagna. That was also different, however the bolognese was not defined. My only complaint of this dining experience is the price of non-alcoholic drinks. Priced at $10 for a small glass with no alcohol is a bit bombastic. I was also surprised to see some dishes lacking plated presentations. The menu is a bit extensive with what seemed to be duplicate dishes with different names. Perhaps some things were lost in translation. The restaurant is a bit overpriced. Be prepared to spend $50 per person and that’s just for an appetizer, a main dish and one drink.
Best little restaurant with big flavors you will find. If not familiar with this place you have go and try the different Peruvian ceviche then move over to the meat and cheese board awesome then finish with the best ever cracker crust pizza you will ever eat. Take home pizza left overs and freeze re heat frozen at 400 degrees 8-10 minutes and it is almost as good as fresh. Great people that care and great service too.
We dined here on Sunday afternoon, after church. We were originally going to try out the Cajun restaurant next door but then saw La Piccolina. When we arrived, we were greeted right away. We loved the way the dining room is decorated like a home. It felt very welcoming. We sat in a fun square, corner half booth, table for 8. It was nice that it was set up to be social and not one long table. We ordered just water and took a look at the menu. Wow! So many options and it all sounded so delicious! Our server I wish I got her name, was super sweet and chatted with our kiddos 5,10,12,14. She helped us order. Since it was our first time and we wanted to try a variety of items, we each got our own dish plus an appetizer for the table. Normally though, we usually get three entrees and share family style. We are so glad we didn't hold back though! Before talking about our food, I would love to say something about the service. It was on point! Water refills constantly, plates cleared away, friendly smiles, meet and greet with the bread chef and head chef....we felt very special. Our waitress had an idea to entertain the kiddos too. She asked the kitchen if they could make their own pizzas! The kitchen said yes and she brought out chef hats, aprons, cutting boards, rolling pins, dough, sauce and cheese for all four kids. They each made a mini pizza and had a blast doing it....even the teens! We definitely made some great and unexpected memories that day! First the garlic pita type bread came out with olive oil and red vinegar. Yum!! This was complimentary. Next was the Mixed Ceviche. The waitress knew I didn't like too much spice so she had it on the side so my husband could still enjoy it. It was fresh, and unique with the corn and I think, roasted kernels. The sweet potato slices were so good! For our entree, we ordered the Carobonara, Fettuccine, Pepperoni Pizza made special for my little one, the Arrow Chaufa Especial, Lomo Saltado con Fettuccine a la Huancaina The last dish, mine, I asked the waitress to surprise us. She asked me what protein I enjoy and I said steak, shrimp, anything really. I said I don't like to eat my veggies if I don't have to. She smiled and said no problem! Since everything is made from scratch and as the waitress said, with love, they were able to easily make substitutions and personalize each entree. My oldest child wanted extra bacon in the carbonara. When she tried the dish, she said it was the best bacon she's ever had! Honestly, everything was good. Our favorite was my dish though, but it was unique and didn't have a name. Perfectly cooked steak, covered with shrimp, with fettuccini and a delicious red cream sauce that I couldn't get enough of. You'll have to show them my picture if you want to see if they can make it again to try it. Next time, I think we will go for mine, my husband's Huancaina, and either the Fettuccini or Carbonara. It would be plenty for the 6 of us and leave some room for the amazing homemade apple pie we devoured at the end of our meal this past weekend. The kids have already asked us to come back again next weekend. This may just be an every Sunday thing! I'd love to bring friends and family here too. Please don't hesitate to check it out
Great Peruvian and Italian food. The staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. The food was delicious and plentiful. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes.
I have been here twice already and they never disappoint! I’m from up north and I didn’t think I would be able to find a place that can compare to my home town till now! Great food great service and the owner is just a breath of fresh air. I recommend this place to anyone either way you go Peruvian or Italian!! You can’t go wrong
