If you love Mexican sweet bread, this is the place to go! This place isn't close to my house, but when I'm around the area I always make sure to make a pit stop. Wide variety selection and good tasting pan.
Came in for the bakery and champorado, champorado was sweet and warm , all the bread types were fresh and yummy, may need a little bit of Spanish to interact but staff was understanding and helped me in my questions and purchase.
This place sells really good bread I'm not gonna deny that. I went in there to get bread and each bread is like like a $1.20 which is kinda alot. Anyways I get about 12 pieces of bread and I asked the lady for a cake box instead of a brown bag. Lady says ima have to charge u for the box. I just said ok didn't budge It's just weird they would charge for a box. Next time I will just go to the bakery on nelson instead
I usually come here for the bollios they are good and mostly fresh . but the last 3 times I have gotten tamales and 2 times out of 1 , the tamales were old and dry. But that one time they were delicious so I know there is potential there. Also i asked if the pan dulce was freshly baked the the lady responded yes and it was dry and stale. My hopes in this review is that they’re more careful in their shelf life of the bread, cakes, and tamales if I come buy i expect something fresh not stale and dry.
The best cheese rolls, better than Portos.
Bolillo Salado- if you know it, you know it and theirs is really good. Although i prefer the bolillo from the one in the shopping center where Durango's restaurant is. Call and make your order, they run out early some days
I'm not keen on sweet bread, but it was delightful. My only critique is that the filing isn't enough for how thick the pastry is. Basically it has more bread that filling so it makes it a bit dry. But it is tasteful.
Great staff, Great bread. Make sure to have a concha or some of their puddings, won't be disappointed. Location is great, parking not so. Still worthwhile to walk a bit from the rear-parking. Make sure to call AND pick-up from this location and not get confused with their other location.
Way overpriced sweet bread and bolillo. Avoid people. This is a un-upgrade bakery that wants your money. The outside looks nice, but inside is wack.
The bakery is open really early, the bakers are all kind and friendly, but the bread is so delicious. It is perfectly soft and every time I come the bread never disappoints
